Update 4.5 —Jan. 28, 2015

I made a huge overhaul to the deck. I really want to run dragons, but it didn't want to run smoothly with an aggro hybrid. Dragons are too easy to remove and too expensive to play for what I wanted to do. Dromoka, the Eternal Could potentially still work his way back in, but I don't know if want to drop in a 5cmc. By turn 6-7 it should be about over.

I adjusted the deck to a smoother aggro/outlast/bolster deck. In playtesting it is WAY more consistent vrs aggro and ramp. I have not tried it vrs control decks though and I have a feeling it might have some issues.

Sideboard has been updated with:

3x Ajani's Presence 4x Banishing Light 4x Gods Willing 4x Valorous Stance

As always suggestions are appreciated and thanks for the +1's!

Looking at switching Sunblade Elf with a 1cmc white creature smooth out the mana comp of the first 2 turns.

Also, any suggestions in place of Spirit Bonds and/or Geist of the Moors?

Lol yeah that is an option, but it only seems to be reliable if you invest a significant amount of money in cards like Courser of Kruphix and Sylvan Caryatid. Also, For G/W you can only ramp into so many dragons... could splash into black, but then I would need to add some decent lands.

tldr: This is a budget deck

yeah well Caryatid more so than Courser for ramping.

theres also Frontier Siege, Rattleclaw Mystic (if 2 colorless works), and then Whisperer of the Wilds whose ferocious could be triggered by more bolster stuff (Abzan Advantage, Cached Defenses, Map the Wastes)...

i just think W/G dragons would be lolzy and cool, but you could always add black in there.

Frontier Siege Siege is definitely an option. I feel like Rattleclaw Mystic doesn't fit, but Whisperer of the Wilds could. I guess my only real concern with going that route would be that I would go from a more offensive start to a more defensive start. Right now I can be on the offensive for most of the game which is really what I prefer.

I'm going to fiddle around with the deck a bit and see how I feel about pushing it towards ramp.

how about getting some Voyaging Satyr and Frontier Siege in there to get up to big mana for Hornet Queen and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon? Nissa, Worldwaker can help in this regard because her untap forest ability can be abused with siege.

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Nissa, Worldwaker are too expensive for this build. I'd be willing to push it up o $100, but I don't want to spend more than $5-$10 on any single card. I might make a non budget version of this deck later.

Hornet Queen is a maybe, but I don't think I would switch out Warden of the First Tree for it (that's my only semi expensive card atm). Warden is relevant the entire game, but with a decent draw and ramp I'd get Hornet Queen out by turn 4-5.... plus 3 green means I'd need to swing from a primary color of white to green.

I've considered Voyaging Satyr, but it's most useful after turn 3-4 when you can start abusing it with Crucible of the Spirit Dragon. Not sure how I feel about that. Frontier Siege is solid and I may add that whether I go full ramp or not. I'm just worried about it eating into my white instants.

Thank you for the suggestions!

Why the Kill Shots when you have access to things like Reprisal and Valorous Stance?

Yeah Valorous Stance kills everything that needs killing except for Rabblemaster.

Kill Shot is useful for the instances when your face is being attacked by something Valorous Stance can't target and your dragon you just had out got a bad case of the Banishing Light. I also kind of feel like Kill Shot is sort of a combination of Valorous Stance and Reprisal without the toughness/power limitation for 1 colorless. Of course it adds the attacking/blocking limitation though...Then again it is nice to have a little extra survival against things like Hero's Downfall.

It's a solid suggestion.. I think I will swap Kill Shot with Valorous Stance for now, but I don't know about Reprisal. If it had some extra utility I probably would throw it in too.

Thanks!
