Update 5 —Feb. 2, 2015
I adjusted the number of some of the cards and I also added:
Bow of Nylea - Goes very well with first strike; fairly versatile
Archetype of Courage - First strike for all of my creatures plus my opponents lose first strike. Powerful combo with Bow of Nylea
I also adjusted the mana by adding 1 and adding in some Mana Confluence. Let me know what you guys think... did I throw off the deck with this update, does it need some minor #'s adjustment, or do you have any other thoughts?
Also, still in the middle of adjusting sideboard and updating description

only relevant in the scenario where you have no guys to block him with, and if thats the case you're probably gonna lose anyway.

SIdeboard should have Banishing Light, Ajani's Presence, Valorous Stance, and Gods Willing, if they aren't in the main. They are the best sideboard cards in G/W in standard. Windstorm and Erase can be good under specific conditions.

shinobigarthYou have a fair point, but I think it would still be relevant when you have 1 or 2 creatures on the board and it is the same for your opponent. For example, you can continue to simply press the attack instead of holding off a creature to block.... BUT now that I've worked Spear of Heliod I am going to work Valorous Stance into the sideboard at least.
micah1 The only thing I don't like about Banishing Light is that it can fairly easily be removed if they have Erase, Abzan Advantage, etc... but is more versatile. All of your suggestions are solid, I will adjust my sideboard after taking a second look.

Actually, I think that Ajani's Presence should come out of the side because you already have a lot of protection cards in it and in main. Perhaps Obelisk of Urd could go in naming humans? Also, I think you should drop 1-2 Abzan Advantage for lands.

Maybe you need a nice 1drop Hardened Scales for combo with outlast, bolster and your planswalker.

micah1 I'm not going to drop any Abzan Advantage primarily because that is probably the primary card I will be switching out with the sideboard. I agree about having a large amount of protection, but I'm not sure how many and what exactly I will remove to even it out. I might remove 1 Ajani's Presence and 2 Gods Willing to fit in a 4x of something. As far as Obelisk of Urd goes.. I think I'm going to hold off on that. It goes well with the fact I have so many humans, but it has a couple issues that makes me reluctant to add it... It doesn't add +1/+1's, it doesn't have additional utility like Spear of Heliod, and it's a bit expensive mana wise. I'll playtest a bit with it and see how it goes.
arfio That's not a bad suggestion at all. I might try it without the artifacts or I might just -1 a couple things to work it in. We'll see if it squeezes in.

You want your mainboard as powerful as possible. If abzan adavantage is bad, replace it with something that is more useful.
January 29, 2015 3:11 p.m.
It's great against Banishing Light, any siege enchantment, Singing Bell Strike, Encrust, any enchantment creature, etc plus it bolsters 1 on top of that. I definitely wouldn't say it is bad... it would be better if it was a 'destroy target enchantment' spell though.

Alright, I adjusted the swapped cards in the mainboard/sideboard to show a more standard approach. The previous set up was primarily vrs aggro decks and decks that had a significant reliance on enchantments. This is more of a catch all with Abzan Advantage, Spear of Heliod, and Bow of Nylea on the side instead of the main.

What do you think guys, Abzan Falconer over Tuskguard Captain? Only main issue I have with this is that it will make it slightly harder to play Warden of the First Tree on T1 if I draw it.... Also, it will be less of a W/G deck an more of a W with a splash of G. Which might be good for T1-T3 consistency?

Abzan falconer AND Tuskgaurd captain. I might drop Ainok Blood-kin.
January 31, 2015 11:31 a.m.
For the moment I have put it on the SB. Even though Ainok Bond-Kin is not a particularly strong or fast card... having first strike on on all of my creatures is nice. Evasion is nice and trample is nice as well... but I haven't decided if I need both at the cost of losing first strike. If there was another 2 cmc card that gave first strike to multiple creatures I would probably grab it.
After I fiddle around with it a bit I'll see how I feel about increasing the number of 3 cmc cards. I'll probably make a real update to it within the next couple of days.

Seeker doesn't have enough non creatures for him to be that good. What about Boon Satyr and Swordwise Centaur? He looks unimpressive, but he is a 3/2, which isn't bad.
February 1, 2015 9:10 a.m.
They are good cards for sure a 3/2 for 2 mana is pretty efficient in my opinion. The only issue is that they are 2 green. I intentionally go with about a 25/75 G/W card split and a ~40/60 mana split because I feel like it makes for a more consistent game. I think 2 green drops would throw off the pace of the deck... as I would not reliably be able to play Swordwise Centaur until T3. I think that if this deck swung heavier green I would be less reluctant.
Thanks for the suggestions!

As far as your mana base goes, I would run 1 more land, and 4 mana confluence and 4 temple and 4 fetchland. Mana confluence probably won't hurt too much because you are aggressive. As far as other good 2 drops, you have Heir of the Wilds, Master of Pearls, Sightless Brawler, Satyr Grovedancer and that's about it. That is in my favorite to least favorite.
February 1, 2015 11:39 a.m.
micah1 I'm a fan of Heir of the Wilds and Sightless Brawler, but as I was considering both of these it hit kind of hit me that I really should include Bow of Nylea back into the deck if I could. The potential to have a board full of creatures with first strike, death touch, and trample is just too sweet. I feel like I can swing for a 2 green drop in this case because it affects my entire board.

I swapped out Valorous Stance for Kill Shot. Why? Well Valorous Stance is useless against an aggro deck if they are keeping your side of the board clear. At least with Kill Shot you can remove something like Mardu Strike Leader before it generates too many tokens.
