It's great against Banishing Light, any siege enchantment, Singing Bell Strike, Encrust, any enchantment creature, etc plus it bolsters 1 on top of that. I definitely wouldn't say it is bad... it would be better if it was a 'destroy target enchantment' spell though.

Alright, I adjusted the swapped cards in the mainboard/sideboard to show a more standard approach. The previous set up was primarily vrs aggro decks and decks that had a significant reliance on enchantments. This is more of a catch all with Abzan Advantage, Spear of Heliod, and Bow of Nylea on the side instead of the main.

What do you think guys, Abzan Falconer over Tuskguard Captain? Only main issue I have with this is that it will make it slightly harder to play Warden of the First Tree on T1 if I draw it.... Also, it will be less of a W/G deck an more of a W with a splash of G. Which might be good for T1-T3 consistency?

Abzan falconer AND Tuskgaurd captain. I might drop Ainok Blood-kin.
January 31, 2015 11:31 a.m.
For the moment I have put it on the SB. Even though Ainok Bond-Kin is not a particularly strong or fast card... having first strike on on all of my creatures is nice. Evasion is nice and trample is nice as well... but I haven't decided if I need both at the cost of losing first strike. If there was another 2 cmc card that gave first strike to multiple creatures I would probably grab it.
After I fiddle around with it a bit I'll see how I feel about increasing the number of 3 cmc cards. I'll probably make a real update to it within the next couple of days.

Seeker doesn't have enough non creatures for him to be that good. What about Boon Satyr and Swordwise Centaur? He looks unimpressive, but he is a 3/2, which isn't bad.
February 1, 2015 9:10 a.m.
They are good cards for sure a 3/2 for 2 mana is pretty efficient in my opinion. The only issue is that they are 2 green. I intentionally go with about a 25/75 G/W card split and a ~40/60 mana split because I feel like it makes for a more consistent game. I think 2 green drops would throw off the pace of the deck... as I would not reliably be able to play Swordwise Centaur until T3. I think that if this deck swung heavier green I would be less reluctant.
Thanks for the suggestions!

As far as your mana base goes, I would run 1 more land, and 4 mana confluence and 4 temple and 4 fetchland. Mana confluence probably won't hurt too much because you are aggressive. As far as other good 2 drops, you have Heir of the Wilds, Master of Pearls, Sightless Brawler, Satyr Grovedancer and that's about it. That is in my favorite to least favorite.
February 1, 2015 11:39 a.m.
micah1 I'm a fan of Heir of the Wilds and Sightless Brawler, but as I was considering both of these it hit kind of hit me that I really should include Bow of Nylea back into the deck if I could. The potential to have a board full of creatures with first strike, death touch, and trample is just too sweet. I feel like I can swing for a 2 green drop in this case because it affects my entire board.

Fair enough, made the swap. I have this deck in paper and on MTGO now. It's doing pretty solid against anything relying on creatures, but struggles against control decks. Need suggestions for the SB to make it a bit more reliable against control decks.
Considering making some slight adjustments to the comp and splashing in blue... thoughts?

that is the issue I have with my W/G Heroic deck I run. I chose green over blue for longevity mid to late game, HOWEVER control is a huge problem. blue you got your drawing power and cantrips but even then subject to control. my first thoughts are hexproof creatures/cantrips but there isn't enough in standard so I went even more of an aggro SB and just flood the board and get the beats in before wipes and removal. Try tokens and stuff?
February 7, 2015 2:04 p.m.
Lol the 'and stuff' isn't particularly specific, but that's ok.
I'm going to try swapping in a couple copies of Spirit Bonds. One played early would be pretty useful... Still going to consider going Bant though.
Almost forgot... added in Mistcutter Hydra to the SB. Can't believe I forgot about that one.. I will also consider throwing in a couple copies of Bassara Tower Archer to the SB.
February 7, 2015 6:33 p.m.
Actually with Mistcutter and Bassara on the SB I don't know if would really even need Spirit Bonds at that point.

Ranger's Guile should be able to help with the control, or maybe Mortal's Resolve
February 8, 2015 8:10 p.m.
JediCreed94 I actually already have Ranger's Guile in the SB.
Mortal's Resolve is an excellent card, but it doesn't help with the kind of control I'm having issues with... i.e. Disdainful Stroke, Dissolve, Nullify, etc.
Thanks for the suggestions, all input is greatly appreciated!
February 8, 2015 8:18 p.m.
I have most of these cards and might throw this together to try and beat my friends' decks up with it. I have an Elspeth, Sun's Champion and wondered, out of curiosity, if you had one would you put her in?

Temur Sabertooth is a NIGHTMARE for a control deck. As far as cards that keep control decks from winning, that card is terrifying. Also, Ajani's Presence can help. Don't worry about sabertooth bouncing away counters and stuff. It is still worth it. If it was going to die anyways, it is still really good.

Chord of Calling would help you get your Archetypes out once you've drawn a Bow. I don't know what you would pull for it, though.

You want your mainboard as powerful as possible. If abzan adavantage is bad, replace it with something that is more useful.
