Working on a new Mono-black infect deck that is mostly rats. Im not feeling super confident with it, so I would be very grateful for any suggestions on how to improve this deck.

Revolves around producing tons of rats, buffing them (fear, menace, and +1/0 counters), and giving them infect with tainted strike or phyresis. Has some redundancy with Decimator’s web and virulent wound.

Ichor rats give every player a poison counter when entering the battlefield, ensuring at least one poison counter to proliferate with Karn’s bastion or grim affliction.

Patron of the Nezumi has the ability “rat sacrifice” that can combo well with ichor rats and swarmyard. Using Swarmyard, an ichor rat can be sacrificed to Patron, regenerate, and trigger another poison counter to all players.

Other stuff: Piper of the Swarm and Marrow-Gnawer make rats harder to block thus increasing opportunities to inflict poison counters. Ratcatcher allows you to search for a target rat and Bontu’s monument makes some rats free to cast!
