What do you plan on replacing Prophet of Kruphix with now that it got the commander ban hammer?

Well anything really it's not the glue that keeps the deck together it's just a super good card. I have replaced it with Amulet of Vigor. The deck needs to be updated.

Amulet of Vigor works really good with bounce lands and any land that comes in tapped also is great with Perilous Forays.. what would you suggest
March 11, 2016 11:13 p.m.
Fair point, I only suggested that because it was late and I didn't want to forget about it lol.
Simic Manipulator would do very well in this deck. You have enough flicker effects that he would constantly gain counters to steal permanently.
Strionic Resonator would let you copy nearly all of these stealing abilities, accelerating your goal significantly.
I believe the weakest cards in here are Increasing Savagery and Malignus. The former isn't bad, but isn't that great either and can go to waste. The latter can quickly become mediocre. Another possible removal is Market Festival. It seems you have good enough ramp and a consistent land base to live without it.

Hmm I know it had to be hard to pick what to change. But why change Malignus this guy is stupid strong especially with multiple copies.
June 13, 2016 8:37 a.m.
Honestly I was grasping to figure what to take out. I love the card, the deck was just so tight I couldn't figure what to remove!
June 13, 2016 8:53 a.m.
This one was hard to consider cards for because it is heavily dependent upon what your opponents play. Cards that I find cuttable:
Xenagos, God of Revels - while he's certainly a strong card, I don't see a whole lot of interaction from him since most of your steal effects grant haste already. This guy just lets you buff your stolen guy up +x/+x, which isn't terrible, but is just a minor buff for the deck.
Malignus - Yes, he's strong. Even in multiples. But he gets smaller as the game goes on and won't end up killing anyone.
Artisan of Kozilek - Always an EDH staple, he's a 9 mana recursion spell to get another stealer back out of the 'yard. This could be just a 4 mana Clone for the same effect, just without the extra eldrazi body.
Elvish Piper - I understand the point is to get an instant steal-effect to nab an attacker mid-combat but then that blanks the use of that card on your turn, which generally goes against the game plan. However having this in as a one-of for this specific effect might not be a bad thing.
Phytotitan - This is basically only good if Greater Good is in play, otherwise he doesn't do much for the deck, and ideally you'll be able to steal your opponents fatties for Greater Good.
All of these cards have a reason for being in this deck, so making cuts really comes down to opinion and how attached to them you are. What can be put in:
Surrak Dragonclaw - If you have counterspell players in your meta, this guy would be a good call.
Polymorph - Another option for offing your opponent's creatures for your own profit.
Reins of Power - This is good if a board wipe happened and you're still rebuilding, but someone else has gotten ahead on the board. Also good for hosing a large attack against you.
Duplicant - Clone variant that actually exiles another creature so it doubles as removal.
Blade of Selves - If you put this on something like a Conquering Manticore, their ETB triggers can steal blockers away from your opponents for the turn to squeeze extra damage in.

Yeah I like the Polymorph card I didn't know it worked like that. Perhaps Proteus Staff would be better.

It's good in both but better in multiplayer. It really depends on who your up against. If your opponents really need the creatures in there deck, then before the game starts they have already decided to make you the target. The decks maximum potential really depends on your opponents decks.

havent playtested it yet. it seems most of the creatures have a high CMC...any problems getting things out early game?
thanks

griffstick says... #15
Well the creatures have a high cmc so when you say "getting things out early" then yes but that's never the occasion. You will most of the time cast your commander turn 3 and turn 4 and 5 and 6 usually consist of setting up your board state assuming land drops happen on time. This is of course a multi-player situation. In one vs one you will control the board state more with your commander

Built this deck. Liking it so far. Does Donate have a place anywhere in this deck?

Yea I can see it being good with Zealous Conscripts but I tend to stay away from one time use cards in edh. But in one on one it has better potential
July 6, 2016 3:54 p.m.
Lol. Well I stand correct on Malignus! Glad to hear the deck caused such trouble! May I ask what deck you were piloting?

@Podma101:
Dark Flavor 2.0 is the deck I was using, this deck was the first deck I built and started as a vampire deck and it's changed like 10 times
I glade you like the deck. I like to see other people have as much fun with the deck as I do.

Been running this deck for a few weeks now. Love it! thank you been doing well with it. Can you explain your reasoning for Sundial of the Infinite?
July 25, 2016 1:24 a.m.
griffstick says... #22
It allows you to keep the creatures you steal with threaten effects by Exiling the all spells and so fourth from the stack
July 25, 2016 7:09 a.m.
Doesn't it say that the "till end of turn" effects end, and that includes things like Insurrection?
July 25, 2016 10:19 a.m.
griffstick says... #24
I thought it worked that way. But after some rules reading, using the Sundial of the Infinite will not exile the, "until the end of turn", but will Exile, "at the beginning of your end step", witch are two totally different things. and, I am now just realizing this, and will be making a change soon. Sundial of the Infinite has so many crazy interactions with things, that it's a crazy combo piece, and can do some very interesting things givin the right tools to make it that way... unfortunately I have been using it wrong, and apologize to all who has also been using it wrong, assuming that I had been using it right. I'll probably stick Mind's Dilation in its place cause that card is just bonkers, and I will probably run it in every deck that runs blue

Unless you have a good idea of what can go in its place
griffstick says... #1
Vedalken Shackles requires islands and there is three. Sphinx Ambassador is cool but I want to control the board state not just take them straight from the deck. The card is cool and it would break really cool having a clone of it too but I think it's no better than Phytotitan witch synergizes with the deck way better.
