Sorry, but whenever I see a Blistercoil Cantrip combo deck I go insane, and feel desperate to say something stupid. :P

@Scorprix Lol.

haha! Scorprix you're awesome!

Yeah...Matsi883 is the Storm-King....I've seen a couple of his storm decks now and all are powerful, creative, and competitive...

Great combo and deck-building. It made me both fearful and reverent. My fear for such a thing just made me put 4x Path to Exile on my You shall not pass pillow fort deck.

The main damn problem is that this deck can win both by flaming AND by attacking. That excludes Leyline of Sanctity or Runed Halo as counters (since one is based solely on burn damage and the other on creature damage).

Anyways, impressive!

correcting: my deck is You shall not pass!.

@Snow_Lynx: Very true. But Runed Halo can name Grapeshot as well. By the way, Patrick Chapin named Runed Halo as "the card to sideboard in Modern."

Matsi883 what about Aqueous Form

April 16, 2014 11:26 a.m.

Matsi883 says... #12

@tyforthevenom: Isn't Artful Dodge strictly better than Aqueous Form in this deck due to it being a sorcery. Also, by the time I'm attacking, I've already won the game. And my primary win condition is Grapeshot .

@Matsi883 i was thinking more in the case they're stopping grapeshot some how and they use a fog effect, aqueous form outlives artful dodge was my main source of thinking

Matsi883 says... #14

If they stop Grapeshot and Fog me, I'm not sure how I'll be able to win.

Is playing with a single grapeshot plausible? Im having trouble getting them

April 20, 2014 8:02 a.m.

Matsi883 says... #16

@tyforthevenom: I run two of them.

April 20, 2014 8:27 a.m.

tyforthevenom says... #17

@Matsi883 i see i was wondering if it could work with 1

April 20, 2014 9:44 a.m.

Matsi883 says... #18

@tyforthevenom: Two works right now. I usually draw one when I need it. If I took one out, what would you replace it with?

April 20, 2014 10:20 a.m.

tyforthevenom says... #19

I would finish the playset of your ideas or a different cantrip atleast to fill the spot til i can get another grapeshot

April 20, 2014 10:28 a.m.

Matsi883 says... #20

Ideas Unbound is too expensive to be clogging up my hand.

Also, if you want Grapeshot , it's about $.50 on TCGPlayer.

Have you considered Remand ?

I know it's 2 CMC, but it cantrips and can help protect the win.

If nothing else, I would think it's great sideboard against decks with common 1CMC removal.

Matsi883 says... #23

How can Remand help protect the win?

Disrupting Shoal is pretty much strictly better for SB.

Just placed my order for this deck! I've playtested dozens of times and couldn't stand it anymore. It's so much fun!!

Matsi883 says... #25

@jermwarfare: It really is.

If you take this deck to FNM, post your results and I'll put them on this deck's page with credit to you.
