I decided that I wanted to make a modern Izzet deck that ended up having storm in it. So the deck works in the following ways. Turn 1 Monastery Swiftspear 1 damage Turn 2 You play your Cipher cards onto Monastery Swiftspear swing in for damage then if you get your damage from Monastery Swiftspear in you have done 1 + 1 more damage for each Cipher spell then in 2nd main phase you cast Grapeshot dealing 1 + 1 damage for every Cipher card cast this turn (even the free ones off of damage). With a good opening hand this is somewhere around 11 damage (calculated as a opening had of 1 Monastery Swiftspear 2 lands 2 Hidden Strings 1 Hands of Binding and 1 Grapeshot not including draws). Granted you can still get more if you use Gitaxian Probe. If you have Guttersnipe you can wait to play Grapeshot on turn 3 instead and probably kill because of the fact that you deal 3 damage off of Grapeshot instead of 1. It is best to use Gitaxian Probe on turn 2 to make sure that you can pull it off.
