Stratified Society is an aristocrats build meant to be semi competitive in modern. The basic Idea is to create tokens to sacrifice to things like Butcher of the Horde.

PS. by semi competitive I mean it should have a chance, if I play well, to win against almost anything I come up against. It also means that fun is a little bit more important than being fully competitive. One other thing to keep in mind is that this is a work in progress and is far from finished.

The Game Plan

The basic game plan is to create enough tokens to sacrifice some to my aristocrats every turn. This makes the power and value of my creatures significantly higher than than those of my opponents. It relies on removal to produce those tokens so I want to remove my opponent's creatures to keep my own safe from blockers, and thus stay on the offensive. Basically just keep their creatures off of the field and mine on the attack.

My Card Choices

Land Show

I feel I should address this first. I have no idea what the mana base is going to be. Not to say I cant figure it out, but that this is very much a work in progress and is far from finished. therefore I feel that this should go as more of a guideline for how many lands I need rather than what they will actually be.

Fuel Show

Dark Confidant - known as Bob, this guy has ridiculous value. Two cards a turn can keep our hand stocked with cards, and paying life equal to the drawn cards mana cost is a fairly low price to pay.
Kolaghan's Command - ok Ill be honest, I have no idea which category to put this thing in. in fact I think it gets its own category; most-ridiculously-overpowered-two-for-one-Ive-ever-seen. Any of these things are good on their own, but in any combination of two? This thing should be banned! I didnt mean that! Please dont do it wizards!
Liliana, Heretical Healer   - ok so this another card that Im not so shure about. I mean, its easy to flip and that ult could siriously hurt the oponent. But then, theres that whole discarding +1 effect which, if you ask me, is a sirious disadvantage to me. I want my removal, and this kinda gets rid of some of that.
Painful Truths - this is probably the best draw spell in black. And red. And white. If you have three colors, black included, then there is simply no beating this card.

Token Generators Show

Bitterblossom - this is the premier token generator for people who really want to get extra value from said tokens. Its just too good not to have a few of. That said, I would like to see one every game, but yet never more than one. So perhaps put some things that get me enchantments alongside some more high value enchantments to fetch? I dont know.
Monastery Mentor - I like this method of token production, but Im not sure whether this is the best way to do it or not.
Young Pyromancer - Dito. that is to say, same as above.
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad - I really like the idea of having a way to produce at least one token for sacrifice every turn. But there may be a better way to do it.

Removal Show

Inquisition of Kozilek - very cheap and hits most of the scary creatures and spells before they hit the field or stack respectively.
Lightning Bolt - its lightning bolt. What else do I say. Its the best red removal spell Ive ever seen.
Lightning Helix - upgraded lightning bolt for one more mana. It also helps to keep me alive which, with all the life lost from Bob, bitterblossom, and painful truths, is very important.
Path to Exile - literally the best removal spell in the format. Im pretty sure that no one will argue against that.

Aristocrats Show

Butcher of the Horde - this is the card that started the build. A little difficult to feed, but well worth it. This thing can take over a game in one turn. Haste, lifelink, and vigilance for the cost of three creatures is just stupid.
Tymaret, the Murder King - this one is just being tried on for size. It can be replaced by any other aristocrat, though preferably one that can gain me life.

Things to Keep in Mind

1 - Butcher of the Horde is the one card that started this build, that and a decent bit of removal need to stay.
2 - this is a work in progress. Any suggestion or advice you can give will be appreciated. Just be sure to word it kindly. Dont say this won't work instead tell me what to change.
3 - I dont know every card. Please use the card name syntax to show me rather than just telling me or using a nick name.
