Guys I'm debating Boseiju, Who Shelters All simply for protection from counter spells for Blasphemous Act, Pyroclasm etc. I'm worried that adding another source of colourless mana could cause mana issues due to the amount creatures needing more than one coloured mana. What's your opinion?

Have you considered Mogg Fanatic? I play it myself instead of Spitemare and I really like how it works out.

Hi MJ87, Mogg Maniac was in my maybeboard for a while but as you can't chose where the damage is going it cuts the odds on hitting a big combo other than the Volcano Hellion combo down considerably. It's a card that I may play test with in the future as it would only cost around $4 for a playset but at the moment I'm still testing the deck in its current build. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Boseiju doesn't give any mana. Mogg Maniac would be cool but not enough utility outside of the Act. I was thinking that Battlefield Forge would be nice.

Boseiju, Who Shelters All gives 1 colourless mana if you pay 2 life. Battlefield Forge could work but would make me dependant on getting lifelink abilities firing (if the game went long), which isn't too difficult to do but is a concern. If I did put any in it would be a two of n think. I'll put a couple in next time I play with the deck and see how they do. I'll let you know.

Thanks for clarifying Boseiju for me. Even as a 1-of would work as an extra damage at your opponent once you have the Doll enchanted.

True, and I have two anyway so can't hurt to put one in. Thanks for the suggestion!

what about Lava Spikes to go w/ yer bolts? or maybe Hellspark Elemental? the unearth is pretty boss.

I love the idea of Hellspark Elemental. Once I've got used to playing the deck as it is I will invest in a set. Thanks!

Have you thought about stuff like Dictate of the Twin Gods or Furnace of Rath? Cos then the redirection combo gets amplified exponentially.Eg: you have Dictate, Reckoner, and Stuffy Doll on the battlefield. You cast Lightning Bolt on your Reckoner for 3 damage, Dictate triggers and doubles that to 6 damage. Reckoner then redeals that 6 damage to Stuffy Doll, Dictate triggers again and doubles it to 12 Damage.Stuffy doll then deals that 12 damage to the opponent, Dictate triggers one last time and doubles that damage to 24 damage straight to the face. Or if you have a Pariah on the Doll, as would be ideal, you could deal the 6 damage to yourself, which adds another double to total 48 damage.

Awesome combo idea! I did have furnace of wrath in the deck back when it was naya but it never worked out too well for me. If I was going to run either of these it would be dictate purely due to the flash element. I would be reluctant to play more than 1-2 of these though. Just have it in there as a nice combo to find every now and again because if that went wrong, it could soon bite you in the ass.

I'm actually switching to Mogg Maniac instead of Spitemare because I find myself stuck with them in my hand and not enough mana to play them. Or they just get exiled immediately and I just wasted 4 mana to get it out. The deck is doing well at our local shop though. _

Mogg Maniac isn't Modern legal if you're okay with that.

Ooooh poodoo!! Sturwulf you had better not have claimed any prizes with those in your deck! Lol. If they were modern legal I may have considered putting 2 in.
I'm taking Cloudshift out of the deck once I posted this comment in favour of Gods Willing, essentially it does the same job as Cloudshift or Brave the Elements for the same cost and you get to scry 1.
Your thoughts guys?

Nah, it was casual 60 at our store event. LoL, but that would have been funny.

You definition of a Mountain is incorrect. 'Hills are easier to climb than mountains. They are less steep and not as high. But, like a mountain, a hill will usually have an obvious summit, which is its highest point. However, neither is a very adventurous option. If you want a high point and maximum difficulty, please try the Aligned Hedron Network at Sea Gate (1-800-ZEN-DIKAR)'

Just realized that Dictate of the Twin Gods makes any damage Stuffy Doll takes redirect with four times the strength, including its ping ability.

Repercussion might be of some use if you have an enchanted Stuffy Doll.

I don't think Repercussion is Modern legal; though it is a fun card for EDH.

What about Zada, Hedron Grinder cast Lightning Bolt on him while Stuffy Doll has Pariah for 3(X) damage where X is the number of creatures on your field.
October 6, 2015 2:25 p.m.
Not to mention what this would do if you had Dictate of the Twin Gods
October 6, 2015 2:30 p.m.
I was thinking of Zada when I pulled one the other day but my questions are, what do I cut? How many to run? How good would it be if you played Arcbond on this guy then bolted him, if you had a pariah enchanted creature on the board? Would this ever happen with Soulfire on the battle field and a Dictate? The mind boggles. But I'd appreciate your input on the first two questions. Lol.
Thanks.

Alright, First (Not to be picky) I suggest using the bracket system to make your cards in your text into links so I could check quicker, No biggie but it's helpful :D. Second I would probably cut 1x Figure of Destiny 1xBoros Reckoner and 1x Stuffy Doll and run 3x Zada, Hedron Grinder (I know what you're thinking! "WHY STUFFY DOLL?" He may be the core of the deck concept, however he's a 5 drop and that means you'll have more time to draw him than the lower cmc creatures and to be fair, the other creatures can do his job almost as well. I'm also gonna look into finding a low cmc card to give all your creatures +1 +1 so the 3 toughness "stuffy dolls"" (creatures that share his effect) could survive lightning bolts.. and maybe that would be worth swapping something out for.

That's the idea but also a ready source of chump blockers.
