Maybeboard

Tree powers activate.

This is a silly tribal gimmick deck that can actually pack a punch. The plan is to ramp out and explode into Dauntless doorback or Dungrove Elder which can end games if the opponent isn't careful. There isn't a lot of disruption, and can easily run out of gas, however swinging with a massive treefolk can beat even the best decks.
The goal is to resolve a massive treefolk early in the game. This is possible both by ramping early with Elvish Mystic or Sakura-Tribe Elder but using tribals synergies such as bosk bannerett is also an option. usually by turn 3 you can safely resolve a Dungrove Elder or go big with dauntless doorback this is a simple mono green beatdown deck so it isn't very hard to pilot.
The Treefolk tribe is underrated, Treefolk are good enough to not rely on changelings (metallic mimic) And the are fast enough to compete with the big tribes, like elves. There are many ways to optimize this deck, but I'm trying to keep it budget-friendly and flavorful.

Dauntless Dourback: The talisman of the treefolk deck. This card wins games.

Dungrove Elder: Modern isn't a very forgiving format, but the hexproof makes it more than worthwhile. It lacks trample and is weak the deathtouch, however this card can close out the game against removal heavy decks.

Harmonize: This card isn't really common in modern, but the massive card advantage in green is too good to pass.

Treefolk Harbinger: An amazing tutor and great to disable Goblin Guide on turn one. This card can find fix any holes in your opening hand, or find the perfect card for any board state.

Timber Protector: Very expensive at 5 mana, but has one of the most powerful lord abilities in the game. Its a great followup play after dropping a big threat.

Lignify: Very suboptimal removal, but its a flavor win.

Elvish Mystic: While it isn't a treefolk, its still on flavor and really helps dishing out big threats early. There are better mana dorks available, but the mystic is great for the budget, and gets the job done.

Sakura tribe elder: Very nice ramp which boosts the big treefolk, and also receives the buff off of bosk bannerett. A great ramp option that could also save a few points of damage.

Bosk Bannerette: Fits perfectly with the deck and makes everything easier to cast.

Leaf Crowned Elder: The ultimate value treefolk. Although its a magnet for removals cards, its a nice threat and fells really good dropping a free treefolk.

Forest: While splashing white for removal is tempting, I'm trying to keep this budget friendly. Since treefolk care about forest on the battlefield, I won't add any special lands.

Still Deciding
Doran: This is a treefolk deck, not a doran deck. It is also a budget deck, so I will not do a three color mana pool.

Fog: Not too important because dourback scares away attackers, maybe against a token deck this would work.

Reach of branches: Good flavor but not fast enough for modern

Metallic Mimic: Wrong tempo for this deck, also a complete flavor failure.

Kalonian Twingrove: The cover of this deck, this card has good value, but it just costs too much (cmc)

Unstoppable ash: It really doesn't help, a 5/5 for 4 sounds nice, but dourback and dungrove do it better, and its ability is worthless once timber protector is out. This is a nice card, just not for this deck.

Vanquishers banner: Sounds nice, just too expensive for modern
