Have you seen the different black beater cards out there? 6/6 flyers for 4!? 5/5 flyers for 3!? Let's beat down.
Pain Seer lets me refill my hand, and since all the cards are cheap I won't be taking much damage for the extra draw. Duskmantle Seer gives me the same ability and a 4/4 flyer on turn 4.
Mogis's Marauder is the lynch pin. Giving my creatures intimidate means that my big creatures aren't going to be blocked. And, the intimidate really helps ensure that I can turn Pain Seer sideways and get the extra card draw.
Springleaf Drum has proven surprisingly effective. I first included it just to have a way of ensuring that Pain Seer will tap when I want him to, but the ramp that it provides allows me to get a nice tempo gain on my opponent and makes this already fast deck even faster.
Whip of Erebos is here to counter-act all the life loss from shocklands, pain seer, duskmantle seer, and thoughtseize. Also, whipping back Master of the Feast is awesome because you completely avoid his draw back. Even if they block him, it's still a 5 point lifegain.
I run 5 discard spells (4Thoughtseize and 1 Duress) to try and counter-act any card advantage I give my opponents with Master of the Feast and Duskmantle Seer.
For removal I have the staple Hero's Downfall because it hits everything at instant speed. For now, I'm running Pharika's Cure because of the additional lifegain it provides (although I might exchange these for Ultimate Price), and then Devour Flesh lets me get around hexproof and indestructible, but it can also be used in a pinch for additional lifegain.
This deck is meant to win quickly, but it is capable of some great late-game turnarounds. For example, let's say your opponent is at 20 life and has you down to 5 life. They have a few ground creatures on the board threatening to hit for leathal next turn. Whip back a Master of the Feast, fly over their creatures for 5 lifelink, then play devour flesh on yourself and sac master of the feast gaining 5 more life. Now you're both at 15 life.
