Sideboard

Maybeboard

Black is what black does. Why mono black? It's very consistent, plays to it's strengths, it's cheap, and it works.

Currently considering a sac outlet for Treacherous Pit-Dweller. I really like it and I can easily work around his drawback. After sideboarding against grave decks, I can use Vile Rebirth on him in the grave, Tragic Slip him, or sac him if I had an instant speed outlet.I like tricks with Geralf's Messenger. If you need to squeze in more damage, slip/murder him at the end of your opponents turn. This is also useful with an instant speed sac outlet.

I heard mixed reviews on Desecration Demon but I think it's much better than people originally thought. It's easy to trick people into saccing to tap him, not knowing I'm going to kill the other creature anyway. In my opinion, he's a broken card. The only thing that gives him a straight downside is when the opponent can get 6+ tokens, etc. on the field. Even then, this deck runs good board control so they don't have much choice with him.

Pit Dweller is doing okay. I SB it out against any removal. I played an Esper deck at game day and this performed horribly against it. Most decks at my LGS are creature-based and this deck has the best matchup against those, but against Esper, most spells are dead and I can't do anything after SB either.
