I have done pretty similar shenanigans with spirit creatures in Nobody expects The Finnish Inquisition!.

It seems that you can either go with hexproof + unblockable or hexproof + tons of tutoring, though I have used Spirit Mantle to achieve that very same. Also, mine is tiny winy more affordable :)

I would personally take out 4x Chalice of Life  Flip and 4x Celestial Mantle, then add 4x Tallowisp (for tutoring) and 4x Drogskol Captain. This way you could also get more out of Teardrop Kami you use and getting those auras you need would be really easy.

Hmm. Some tutor would be nice. But i need hexproof on creature when it comes to battlefield. My play group plays alot of burn so Tallowisp would get Lightning Bolted the same seacond it hits the board. That way i would need to play Drogskol Captain before Tallowisp and then i would be able to tutor on turn 3 and have 1 mana open to play another Teardrop Kami. Turn four annihilation. I could have annihilator 4 or 160 hp after turn 4. And its allways nice to have another option to win the game, not only big creature. Still nice idea. Ill test those and lets see what happens. Thanks for the advice. I will add them to side/maybe-board.

  • if you can hit with Celestial Mantle on turn 3. You will have enough time to get what it needs to end the game.

Question: Is there cards that can swap enchantments from creature to another?

Wow this deck seems fun ... by fun I mean having the other guy (or gal), get super pissed off and rage. haha no just kidding .. nobody should really rage at this or any strategy.

How is everyone else doing with this deck on MTGO or in person ? With modern its such a gamble with who you will play at your current shops and what the meta is like. I'm testing this this week, will let you know what I find. I'm probably in one of the most competitive shop in the country ... Channelfireball =/

Thanks for the upvotes. Im doing super fine with it. Normaly 4 out of 5 games ends up in surrend. 2 of those happen on T3 of faster. T2 Academy Researchers with Eldrazi Conscription is instant surrend. Your opponent just cant do a thing if he needs to sacrifice 2 permanents every turn right after T2. Black decks are maybe most difficult, becos you cant use Academy Researchers becos they will get removed. So i need to play them on hexproof creatures and wait for wings.

Just thinking that should i add in some scry lands? Like replace 4x Islands with 4x Temple of Mystery. It would slow down this deck, but it would be more stable.

What do you guys think of Strionic Resonator. would make annihilate tricker twise..

Murderotic says... #13

Honestly I Really like the deck as is my man, I'm not sure I would slow it down with Temple of Mystery. Maybe 2 of them? But I wouldn't go more.

Also I think Strionic Resonator is just a tad bit too slow. That 2 mana could be used to put Arcanum Wings on something else, or play a Heliod's Pilgrim to get your Eldrazi Conscription

Cravv says... #14

True that. It has been super fast, but i realy need to make it more stable. just realized that Strionic Resonator would be kinda lategame item. It can be used on turn 4, but that means that you have annihilated on t3 and i realy think your opponent wont even have 4 permanents on board in that state. Funny card and better to keep it that way. But hmm... Does it work with Celestial Mantle too? that 80 hp after one hit would be gamestopper, but still.. funny card is funny card. Thanks for votes!

Im realy lost with lands. Scy lands (Temple of Mystery) have saved me from pulling unneeded lands so meny times. Temple of mystic in your opening hand would slow you down for one turn, but its can allso save you a turn with right draw. Im going to get some fetclands, but they are just so damn expensive. Misty Rainforest is going to replace some land's, but i still havent desided what. I love scry lands, but they may have to leave. Lets see what happens..

Btw how did the MTGO games go?

It's a very budget version, so I either COMPLETELY blow them out, or it's a shit show hahaha

4x Ethereal Armor would fit nicely. You probably don't need 8 targets for aura swap, Celestial Mantle and Eldrazi Conscription are great to swap into but will be dead drops 80% of the time. I'd drop both down to 2 (or just run 4 Conscription and drop the Mantle) and add in 4x Ethereal Armor. The armor gives you a valid win-con even if you can't auraswap. Its extremely powerful all on its own.

I had Ethereal Armor/Kor Spiritdancer deck long time ago and i realy love that card. Im not gona drop Celestial Mantle or Eldrazi Conscription out, but if i add in Ethereal Armor, then Retether would not be that much needed. So i think if i replace Retether with Ethereal Armor. Decks idea is to annihilate or double your life on T3 and im going to keep it that way. If id take few of those big auras away, then its much less like to draw them to your opening hand and then this deck would slow down alot and then you can forget early annihilate. And it would be too dependent on tutoring. I know there is much stable ways to take. This deck was realy unstable, but its much better now. Thanks for the votes!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you! I've always wondered what people could do with cards with aura swap, it's too bad there's only 1 card in existence. +1! Anyways, I find a 12/12 annihilator trample turn 2 sweet.
