So, my friend weisemanjohn decided to use the new Assault Formation to build a RUG deck based on the concept of butts. This a midrange-y combo deck using either Assault Formation, Phenax, God of Deception, or Kin-Tree Invocation to simply wreck your opponents with the most efficient creatures mana can produce. This runs like one version of red aggro, you throw down super high power creatures for cheap and throw them at people. You sacrifice two turns of speed for infinitely better survivability. On the other hand, if your opponent makes a giant wad of 1/1s that you can't swing through, you can alternatively mill them out with Phenax, God of Deception. If you can't get your enchantments to stick, and for some early game push, Kin-Tree Invocation works wonders as even a 4/4 for BG. This can be increased all the way up to a 7/7 for BG on turn 4. Everything but a super-buffed Heroic creature or a Dragonlord Atarka is gonna quiver in their boots as you rush them down with your monstrous booties.
