Sultai Flayer

Standard*

MPTPGR

Sideboard

This is a test deck I've been proxying, and testing out.

I was a fan of Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, but never really comitted to the deck, staying Jeskai for most of the Standard season with some solid success.

Sidisi Whip is a fun deck, but, I think Soulflayer adds an entire new level to the Deck.

So many people are trying to make a 5 color deck where they can play Chromanticore, worried about getting it stuck in their hand.

However, putting 4 Monastery Siege in your deck, should eventually give you the ability to discard it, not to mention filling your grave as well.

The removal is low, only 5 cards, but, removal isn't the name of the game in this one. You're not looking to control the table, you're looking to get a powerful creature they can't remove and they'll struggle blocking.

Sidisi gives you the army you need on the ground, and with Monastery siege just becomes nasty, cause each draw step you can potentially make a Zombie token without ever attacking.

Erebos just won't make Soulflayer indestructible, but, with one in play, gives you more card draw, and gives you more advantage. It also shuts off the life gain potential from a possible Whip mirror.

Hornet Queen can give you a late game weapon, play against the mirror, or give you a 4/4 with flying and death touch.

Whip is in there for a little life-gain, for Sidisi, and for Hornet Queen.

The mana needs a little work, though it does seem to function well.
