Sideboard

Long long ago, I, after about a year of playing MTG, entered my first draft. Eldritch moon. ( Favorite set personally ) popped my first pack and got an Eternal Scourge, we were also drafting Shadows ( less good, but eh ) so because they tabled I was able to draft an additional Eternal Scourge as well as Shamble Back It was unstoppable. Discard, exile, play, sac, exile, attack, win. By luck or by strategy, I went 3-0, my first taste of true victory as a magic player. Ever since, I have been trying to chase that high, this is my close to final brew. I am on a budget, so this is not it's final iteration. But it's the one I play at my LGS, it's pretty decent. And with that lets get into the deck techs.

So, there are 3 cards that are imperative to our plan. Eternal Scourge, Misthollow Griffin, Torrent Elemental These are the three cards in the game that can be cast in exile the way we want to cast them "But Cain, how do we get them in exile?" Two plans. One; Selective Memory see this card is actually a hidden sleeper. Casting it, we can put all 11 of our "Cast-From-Exile" creatures into exile, but in addition we can weed out any cards that are dead in the matchup. Control? out with the removal. Aggro? out with the tempo. Combo? begone anything that isn't Lost Legacy. Speaking of Lost Legacy, that's the other exile spell. We use it to draw cards, its practically 8 cards drawn for 3 mana. That's almost Ancestral Recall levels of card draw. Content goes here
As you will soon find out by playing, our worst matchups are against those who don't plan on interacting in a way other than killing us. (Burn, Dredge, Reanimator, Storm, Counters Company) Those are some pretty big names too, the weird part is we are also oddly awesome against them ( except for burn, I hate burn ) Most of those decks rely on one of two things, the graveyard, or a specific combo piece. But we have an excuse to mainboard against those in Relic of Progenitus and Lost Legacy, if we can get these out before they go off, we are pretty in the clear. If we don't, well there's always round two.
Overall this is my personal decklist. It's super fun, grindy, surprisingly competetive. If you're looking to upgrade I recommend card: Gemstone cavern for exile. Assassin's Trophy as well as card:Thoughtsieze to make sure we live long enough to beatdown with the 3/3s. And some other general improvements, particularly on the landbase.
