Sultai Turbo Fog

Standard BUG (Sultai)

5h4m3

Sideboard

The main focus of this deck is to prevent damage to yourself while setting up a card draw system to make sure you stay safe to ultimately deck the opponent or to attack for the win if the opportunity presents itself.

Your draw engines are Dictate of Kruphix and Dakra Mystic. The dictate runs itself but the mystic is where you need to watch what you are doing. In the beginning of the game normally I will do the draw to set myself up. After im set up it will be the discard unless it is a cranial archive. The reason being is that no matter what you discard the archive can throw it back into the deck except the archive itself unless you havent used up the other one.

Your prevention is varied and need to know which one to use in which circumstance. Defend the Hearth is your standard cheap fog, except know that it does not protect your planeswalkers. Hunter's Ambush can protect your planeswalkers but nothing thats green. This is a double edge sword cause if you are playing green it doesnt do much but you board it out. But this also lets you block with the prophet and kruphix himself to potentially get some kills in while staying protected. AEtherspouts is your king prevention cause it removes board presence but is also expensive so this is the one you are building to.

Your main support staff are Prophet of Kruphix and Kruphix, God of Horizons himself. The prophet makes you untapped to fog or spout on their turn and still sift through the decks with dakra or play more support cards on your own. Kruphix is great to bank mana so your spout will cost 2 blue from your mana and still have mana up to counter-counter or even dakra sift on their turn as well. But his most important role is that with all the card draw you can keep your cards instead of forced to discard so you are banking answers as more keep flowing in. Another of your supports is Cranial Archive. It makes sure you dont deck before your opponent but also restocks your deck of all the used up answers that you burned while getting set up and insures you will continue to have answers for the rest of the game no matter how long it goes.

ashiok takes pressure off of you, burns through their deck to hasten the deck process, and steals creatures to defend yourself in the off chance you dont have prevention or to apply pressure on an enemy planeswalker.

you have Hero's Downfall for significant threats. Remember for this deck normal threats may not be threats. Like elspeth, normally she is a huge threat but she makes creatures and buffs them and removes big creatures. The most she can do to you is take out kruphix. It hurts but isnt a game changer. So make sure you analyze what is actually a true threat and what isnt. Like an enemy ashiok is a true threat for this deck.
