“Hedron lanterns fend off more than just the darkness."

This may be my best deck yet. Mainly because of it's consistency. This deck really has som umpf that makes it really hard to handle for most people. The goal of the deck is to get as many allies on the board as possible, and and utilize their ETB's to pump your entire team.

The deck consists of 28 creatures that all work toward the main goal of the deck. 12 spells for protection and utility. Really simple in itself.

Most of the allies in this deck use the abilit 'Rally' as a way to buff the team when they or another ally enters the battlefield. For instance Kor Bladewhirl , which will give your team first strike on your turns, as long as you can consistently play at least one ally each turn. Same goes for Lantern Scout (even though it doesn't acutally say 'Rally' on the card, the ability is pretty much the same). As for finishers, we have a playset of both Hada Freeblade and Kazandu Blademaster . They don't look like much, but they will get huge very fast. Another aspect of this deck is a surprising amount of lifegain in this deck. Some turns you'll be able to get off both Lantern Scout and Ondu Cleric for stupid amounts of life.

Finally we are rocking four copies of Ephemerate in this deck to further help our plan. This card is extremely versatile in the deck, as it can be used to avoid removal spells like Path to Exile or a simple Lightning Bolt . Using it as a combat-trick is also a useful application for it as well as just buffing your team by flickering a card like Expedition Envoy .

Creatures

Cliffside Lookout -> Super one-drop with a mana-sink for later in the game..

Expedition Envoy -> Not much to say here. 2 power for one mana.

Hada Freeblade -> One of our finishers as it gets real big real fast.

Kazandu Blademaster -> The same goes for this card. Extremely powerful in the deck, plus the added bonus of first strike and vigilance

Kor Bladewhirl -> The ability to give everyone first strike is simply awesome. Can also be flickered during blocking as a neat little trick.

Makindi Patrol -> Makes sure all of our creatures stays upright.

Hero of Goma Fada -> Much need protection against board-wipes.

Ondu Cleric -> Can potentially supply us with a crazy amount of life.

Lantern Scout -> Helps us stay alive a lot longer. Especially if we swing for 10+ all with lifelink.

Spells

Brave the Elements -> Super protection spell. Very underrated card in my oppinion.

Ephemerate -> Cheap flicker ability that works perfectly with everything the deck is trying to do. Very versatile.

Condemn -> Great and cheap removal spell.

Oust -> Removal spell for when your opponent doesn't attack with the thing you want to remove.

Scout's Warning -> Serves as both card draw and allows us to trigger our allies on the enemy turn.

Lands

Ally Encampment -> Neat card that can help us with our flickering of creatures if needed.

Sideboard

Ashes of the Abhorrent -> Handle decks that interact with the graveyard.

Awe Strike -> Surprise your opponent when you negate his biggest creature when he swings for lethal.

Damping Sphere -> High-impact card against a lot of decks like Tron, Storm or Amulet Titan.

Hallowed Moonlight -> Cool card against decks that run creatures out of alternative places.

Kor Firewalker -> Handle Burn.

Nature's Chant -> Decent card against decks like Affinity or maybe even Bogles.

Teyo, the Shieldmage -> New card with built-in protection from targeted discard and burn-spells. Hopefully he won't jump too much in price, or I will need to find a replacement.

Silence -> Completely unexpected spell that buys you a turn when you just need that little bit of damage.

Sunlance -> Another cheap removal spell.

Aura of Silence -> A great tax on artifact and enchantment heavy decks.

Mainboard

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar -> It almost feels bad leaving him out when he may be the biggest Ally of them all. Would obviously be a huge addition to the deck.

Aether Vial -> Complete no-brainer in this deck. Get more stuff out with less; more triggers, more allies.

Kabira Evangel -> Gets more protection for your allies.

Cavern of Souls -> A copy or to for protection against Control

Emeria, The Sky Ruin -> One or two copies of this would be a great way of keeping your relatively cheap creatures in the mix.

Other colors

With a full set of Ally Encampment and maybe some Ziggurats it wouldn't be impossible on a tight-ish budget to use other colors.

Drana, Liberator of Malakir -> Intense fighter for your side.

Harabaz Druid -> Busted ramp-creature in this deck.

Agadeem Occultist -> Steal your opponents stuff.

Turntimber Ranger -> Go wide with wolf tokens.

Tuktuk Scrapper -> Demolish artifact based decks completely.

Sideboard

A lot can be done here, as this is where I felt I cut the most corners. Playing white, we have access to some stables that would help us greatly.

Path to Exile -> Best removal in white.

Leyline of Sanctity -> The better Teyo.

Kataki, War's Wage -> Keep those artifact decks under control. Works great if you also run Vials.

Rest in Peace -> Single best way in my oppinion to handle graveyard-based decks.

Updates Add

I tried the deck online as well, and I've made the following changes:

We needed protection against board wipes, so I added a couple of Hero of Goma Fada. It is quite expensive, but it's the best I could get that fit within the theme and budget. To further make sure we can trigger the allies on the enemy turn, I have added some Scout's Warning. Great tool that also draws us a card. Furthermore I added a single Makindi Patrol, as vigilance can be really backbreaking for the opponent.

Finally I made some changes to the sideboard, and try to focus a bit more on graveyard hate. I am still on the fence as to whether or not I need the Firewalkers. Life is usually not the issue, and that acts as a natural counter to most burny red decks.
