I'm so pissed the combo doesn't work! Boros needed something like this, but it is almost as Wizards are forcing to try to win through test of endurance and felidar sovereign!

DrukenReaps, if you cast Samite Ministration won't the game draws? Infinite loops cause the stack never empty them you can't finish the effect, isn't it?

kawa my understanding at this point is the combo doesn't work.

In the off chance something changes to make the combo work I'll explain anyways:

Cast Samite Ministration

Cast a instant or sorcery that gains you life

target yourself with the commanders 3 damage trigger

damage is prevented and you gain 3 life because of the delayed trigger from samite

this triggers the commander again, you target yourself, prevent the damage, gain the life, etc.

Simply target something else to end the loop after gaining however much life you want.

But at this time the consensus is that this doesn't work.

One more thing. How anybody talked about... And the combo Isochron Scepter + Paradox Engine + Sol Ring ? I think it would fit like a glove inside this deck :)

No problem Suns_Champion. Happy to help. Knowledge is power and all that. If it helps, Righteous Confluence, like Fiery Confluence has separate triggers on the same spell that would help Firesong and Sunspeaker get extra damage in. And cards like Reviving Dose are Sunforgable and good for the Cantrip life gain and extra damage.

I have a list of my own up on site now, in case you are interested in making comparisons. I don't remember how to leave a shortcut to the deck here, so apologies.

What about Blaze Commando? Does it not have a strong enough impact?

Soulfire Mas In place of the Book of Rass? Or does the chance of blue prevent that? I dont know much about commander...

Im building this deck as well you beat me to the punch on this one! I think its the only Boros commander that is even remotely interesting

I reccomend Blood Sun normally i wouldnt reccomend it because its just a mediocre card in commander but in Boros turning Guildgates, and tapped duels into all upsides is actually a perk. Boros mana is generally just bad, and the cantrip doesnt hurt either.

Im going with a Boros Reckoner subtheme in my take on the deck seeing cards like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction are probs staples for the deck and Im sure we wont have a shortage of red damage based wipes why not get some damage in while doing it! maybe some of the new Dino's may fit in this theme as well with enrage triggers? idk just a thought

Since you have gotten some actual games in I was wondering if you found you commander to be at risk of being blown up by your own stuff very often? That is my big worry with this deck. My version doesn't have much to protect it and that seems like a rather gaping weakness in the deck currently.

Blood Sun is a no go, as my mana base is solid enough for my liking and it turns of Mistveil Plains.

The Boros Reckoner/Spitemare/Coalhauler Swine rout is totally one I considered. Not sure I'm just really a fan of it personally but I'm sure it would work great.

I've considered both Dualcaster Mage and Balefire Liege and ended up cutting them.

Chiberia do it! You can always build on Tapped/Out first, no need to buy all the cards before you know what you want! That's what I do anyway. Don't sweat the upvotes too much. The comments and advice are what really matter. Usually my decks are also 6 month processes, this one happened to be e perfect storm of new Boros commander, mine was the first one, the commander became really popular, I featured it 5 times.... so there are a lot of factors :)

I actually only have 4-5 cards that really kill my own stuff, and those either net me a ton of life(Blasphemous Act) thus making it worth it or it's my attempt to win the game anyway(Molten Disaster). I didn't encounter any of those the other night so I'm not sure, but Mark of Asylum felt like a dead draw twice. More testing is required before I can definitively answer the question, but it didn't feel like a huge concern over 3 games.

A very nice deck I must say, but Wizards did give us, Boros players, something to look at, the new equipment Helm of the Host fits Aurelia EDH so well. A few equipment cheaters and tutors and I will be able to go off consistently. Aurelia, the Warleader EDH - Make them panic if you want to check it out. It is not hypeaggro as some would say, but more of an explosive out of nowhere Aurelia, and it will be even more so with the new Helm :D

I would reccomend you to use Acidic Soil, it seems like a really nice card, that should deal like 15 dmg to all opponents and heal you for 60 in the proccess. Good luck with your deck, and I hope the remainder of Dominarnia has some Boros goodstuff ;)

Any particular reason? I ask because I know ramping can be tough in Boros

ZM4C yes there is! Caged Sun comes down turn 6, not helping me ramp when I need it, turns 2, 3 and 4. With a two color mana base, it only applies to %60 of my lands. And the creature buff is wasted because I have so few creatures. Thanks for the question!

Also, I noticed Healing Grace and Jaya Ballard in the spoilers are pretty neat, especially healing grace! A white bolt with added protection is pretty nice.
