Hey I love the list, and all the work you put into the description section. If you don't mind Id love to do a spotlight on your decklist on my youtube channel.

DespairFaction thanks for the upvote and noticing the Primer! Put a lot of work into it!

Hey, man. Have you responded to my Firesong & Sunspeaker yet? I want your input on it so far. As it's cEDH based, I want to know what to remove for at least CMC2.5. Got some good stuff though; but what other burn do you recommend, & what non-life gain Whitestuff would you recommend? & no, It's not an oxymoronic idea; I really want it to promote Boros to at least Tier 2.5. ;)

This is the deck:

Firesong & Sunspeaker Humiliate cEDH.

Neat deck. I'd upvote it but I don't see this deck being much of a challenge. Keep up the good work.

Skillville this deck is awesome fun to play and you become Archenemy pretty quickly if you can pilot it right!

I've added Mana Flare to help accelerate all of the X Burn spells and it also really helps paying the Commander tax ;)

Deck is awesome :) I agree. 100%

Skillville that was a very interesting and backhanded compliment.... if you like the deck give it an upvote :)

Rabid_Wombat if I had a way to flash Mana Flare out it'd be fine, but it helps my opponents too much and also helps them first, making it a waste of a ramp slot on my opinion.

I really love this commander and I love this deck!

I am very excited to build it, but I do have a question: my playgroup is very blue control heavy, so it’s not uncommon to see big plays get countered during games. How does this deck fare against counterspells, and would you have any card recommendations to deal with blue?

DrukenReaps says... #9

Angrybeards here are some options for you: Boseiju, Who Shelters All, Demonfire, Banefire, Overmaster, Volcanic Fallout, and Urza's Rage.

And just for fun Obliterate, Pyroblast, or Burnout are all solid options to deal with Counterspells.

Price of Glory is also sweet.

Lot's of Boros cards in GRN that would be sweet in this deck..any tips Suns_Champion?

I will be adding Dawn of Hope as more card draw is the bomb!

Rabid_Wombat good question! Let the discussion begin!

I've seen them but haven't spent the time to evaluate all of them.

I like Boros Locket as a replacement for one of the diamonds maybe.

Integrity / Intervention gets the same Lightning Helix deal at a worse cost, and has some added flexibility of being a pump spell. My problem is my Sunforger package is already to full and I don't see any obvious replacements.

Chance for Glory is straight awesome but not for this deck. I can see it becoming a wincon in another Sunforger themed deck.

Deafening Clarion is great... if only it was an instant! Might still make the cut. Maybe over Breath of Darigaaz!

I wish Justice Strike did the damage not the creature :(

Risk Factor will certainly fight for a spot! I've said if Browbeat was an instant I'd have it in here, and well, here it is.

Maybe Crush Contraband over Wear & Tear? What do y'all think?

My initial thoughts. I'll have to see how pre-release goes if I want to get any of them. Anyone else who has any thoughts feel free to jump in!

Oh dear forgot to talk about Dawn of Hope! It's actually awesome because it draws cards but I think more important is the fact it also makes tokens!!! Late game mana sink, protection, creatures to equip stuff too, more lifegain, and best of all, more stuff to hit with damage board wipes(= more lifegain)! Love it! Might replace Mizzix's Mastery or Bedlam Reveler.

Love the list! Any definitive updates now that GRN is out?

November 8, 2018 2:06 a.m.

So I had played your list a few times prior to GRN and it didn't go as expected. I noticed a terrible lack of card advantage being an issue. Dawn of hope is the obvious addition for the deck, but I think also adding Treasure Map  Flip and Sunset Pyramid will help a lot. Idyllic Tutor also seems like a good idea to get dawn of hope more consistently. Somethings ive been meaning to test out. I think I also want to see more big red board wipes. I personally am a fan of Inferno cause its both solid, and no one ever sees it coming.

Mindus_Dew I haven't been able to play EDH all semester so nothing definitive, but I've swapped out Marble Diamond, Fire Diamond, Mizzix's Mastery, and Breath of Darigaaz for Deafening Clarion, Boros Locket, Dawn of Hope, and Risk Factor. Hoping to improve draw and cut under-preforming/situational cards.

DespairFaction awesome! Was it an exact copy of this list or some changes? If so, what changes?

You will see in the changes mentioned above 3 new ways to potentially draw cards. So I have been working on that.

Pyramid doesn't do enough. Tutor too expensive(I've basically stopped buying singles), inferno too high CMC. Maybe Treasure map though.

Thanks for the comments, please continue the discussion!

On a completely differen't point - how did you get the accordion with the picture formatting?!?

Litdaze says... #18

Are you going to consider adding a Mana Vault since it got cheaper thanks to UMA release?

Also this should also be nice and cheap add thanks to UMA aswell

Flagstones of Trokair - Fixing, when it gets destroyed we can go get a Dual if we still have any in our deck. Gamble - Tutors are always a good add Containment Priest - Anti-token Strategies

goldlion says... #19

Litdaze - Just from my reading of Containment Priest, it looks like it's more an anti-cheating-in-creature strategy, rather than anti-token as it says "if a non-token creature...". I'm fairly knew to the game so I could very well be missing something :)

December 13, 2018 3:12 a.m.

Litdaze says... #20

goldlion - It's a anti-token in terms of having flash in response to mass token creation and dealying all token generating spells/abilities while it's alive.

December 27, 2018 10:02 a.m.

goldlion says... #21

Litdaze - What effects will it have on tokens though? The text reads "If a non-token creature enters the battlefield and wasn't cast", not "If a token creature...". To me it reads like it has no effect on token creatures, only on creatures that are cheated in by things like Birthing Pod, Elvish Piper, Myojin of Life's Web or Yisan, the Wanderer Bard.

However, either way. Firesong and Sunspeaker decks loves tokens as dealing 2-3 damage to every creature through an X spell with 50 tokens on the battlefield is a easy boardwipe and a whole lotta life gain.

Hello everyone! I've been very busy with life so it's been months since I've responded to comments, but here we are!

Litdaze While Mana Vault would be awesome here, I've recently slowed down my buying of paper magic cards so anything over $15 I have to really want or need. Same deal with Flagstones. Gamble is what I'll call and "anti-pet card," meaning I've used it and it always screws me over and even though it's pretty good I don't like it. The priest as you discussed is more of an anti-cheat card. And anyway, opponents with tokens is exactly what this deck wants :)

goldlion I make the images on photoshop, put them on the internet to get a image link, then plug them into the code like so:

Thank you both for the comments!

I think Glacial Chasm could be huge in this deck. Having so much life gain, you can endure that cumulative upkeep for longer than usual.

What do you think about cards like Ghostly Prison , Sphere of Safety , Windborn Muse ? This kind of burn deck play with so little creatures, you will get overrun by any stompy deck. I guess it depends on your meta.

Sorry for double post...not sure how to edit comment.

I'm working on S&F deck like yours and I think Humble Defector isn't that good as reliable card draw considering all your burn he won't live long.

This is the card draw I use in my deck at the moment: Dawn of Hope , Smothering Tithe , Well of Lost Dreams , Magus of the Wheel , Mind's Eye , Book of Rass , Endless Atlas , Reforge the Soul

I think because we play boros, it's better to have more permanent and consistent card draw than one time draw. That's why only 2 are one time draw and the rest are permanent.
