I had a really good game with Smothering Tithe out and a wheel player. I had 26 treasure tokens after a turn and my problems were solved. (I nuked everyone.) Great card.

Would you ever run “ Finale of Promise “ in this deck from the new set called “ War of the Spark ? “

When joking about it on one of your other decks, it made me think--now that Painter's Servant has been unbanned, have you considered running it in this deck?

@Suns_Champion: I actually have to concur with Caerwyn's suggestion. I'm actually trying to find something for a mill combo running Grindstone + Painter's Servant , & some other third card in Boros Colors that can result in any number of opponents' instant-decking out themselves; regardless of how many opponents are still in play. My problems? In a Boros Deck; I actually dunno what color to choose for Painter's Servant . I thought; maybe ? Red Elemental Blast , Pyroblast , & Jaya Ballard #1 would say yes, but even I have questions moreso than this; What cards could compliment a cEDH Boros Deck with Gears that Grind? I know I'm asking the wrong people here, but the Commander Tier List "Deck" wants nothing of anything that's not a deck. I wonder about your thoughts about The Smeargle of Death. also... XP

Caerwyn and BMHKain Thanks for commenting! Funny story about Painter's Servant, it was actually in the deck for quite a while! Check out the August 6th, 2018 update for when I took it out. Fascinating card for sure. Now it is somewhat out of my usual price range to put back in(I never bought a physical copy)!

I think the issue with PS now is that if I want it to work with Firesong and Sunspeaker , I'd start running cards that aren't very good on their own. I don't think there are many good damage dealing white instants that I'd want to make red with PS, nor very many red lifegain spells I'd like to make white.

PS works for all red damage spells when FS&SS are out, it's true. But since making a Blasphemous Act also white only gives me one FS&SS trigger, it doesn't seem worth it to me.
