This is my attempt at a RtR -> M14 block mono black deck. The goal is to control the board until I get out one of my bombs. Alternately, if I keep their board suppressed, I can build up an army with Liliana's Reaver.

Using a varied amount of kill spells so I can avoid being stuck with certain creatures. Against Control decks, I would side in more duresses and a pithing needle. Against token decks I would side in Illness in the Ranks and another Ratchet bomb. Thrull Parasite is for decks with a lot of planeswalkers. Thrill Kill is for heavy aggro match ups. Crypt Incursion is for reanimator decks.

I suspect aggro to be my weakest matchup.

  • 4x of Liliana might be too much and Nightmare feels underwhelming
  • Thinking of adding another more control elements (contaminated ground)
  • Main boarding some Lifebane Zombies would be nice and help round my curve
  • Unfortunately, Liliana counteracts Blood Scrivener. May have to remove him.
