"Superfog... Superfog... It's SuperFogles"

Welcome to SuperFogles. This is a controlling deck that uses multiple Fog effects along with Fog Bank s to prevent combat damage from coming through, and three Cackling Counterpart s make sure there are always lots of fog on the board (Super), and making all that fog hexproof, if you need to, is a great way to give your opponent a headache (Fogles).

The plan for your board presence is to drop Fog Bank s and start making copies with cards like Cackling Counterpart and Druid's Deliverance (once you have a token out) to create a stable board. With this kind of board presence there isn't much you need to worry about combat-wise, though you are still weak against board wipes...
This deck is pretty lenient when it comes to the bodies you let your opponent get on the field (with all the fog combat is a laugh most times), your counterspells are going to target your opponents combat tricks as well as their removal (especially board wipes). If your opponent does get a threat to stick that you don't want to deal with, or have some way through the fog, Unsummon and counters such as Mana Leak , Deprive or Dissolve will take care of them.

Should those threats be planeswalkers, side in Void Snare , one of the funniest plays for this deck is to Clever Impersonator their walker, Void Snare their copy then counter it when they try to recast.

OK so you've got a big old wall o' fog, how do you win? There are 3 ways. The main way is you drop an AEtherling making sure you have one open in case you need to exile him. Once he's on the field you basically control the board, though manna conservation becomes important you need 2 and to have him swing as an 8/1 unblockable and exile him after combat to return him as a blocker. Swing 2 or 3 times with him its GG.

You can also try to take advantage of your opponents threats to end the game. Again AEtherling ideal for this. Once you have one you can use another cheeky combo of this deck. Say your opponent drops Worldspine Wurm , a difficult threat to deal with for most. Cast Stolen Identity targeting the wurm and encode the spell onto your AEtherling and whenever he deals damage to a player you get a free 15/15 wurm XD. This is just one example of course.

The other wincon is Jace, Memory Adept . Put him out and just use his free mill 10 ability a few times and again its GG.

The sideboard plan for this deck includes Naturalize to take care of any pesky artifacs or enchantments that stick around. The Elgaud Shieldmate s provide your Fog Bank s with hexproof should you find them dying to targeted removal. Redirect is a card that I don't see used enough, in the right situation it can be quite valuable. AEtherspouts is crucial if you come against the rare deck (token decks) that generates an overwhelming board presence. Defend the Hearth gives you more fog if you need it. Any thoughts on the Sideboard would be great as well.
I built this deck because I like the ideas behing both the Turbofog and Bogles decks, but I am also fairly dissapointed by what I see as a stagnating modern format. Whenever I hear about Modern events I generally hear about the same decks, using the same cards (you know it's bad when you tap your mana, and your opponent is telling you, accurately, what card you're playing). I have always preferred brewing my own decks (often times using current decks as starting points) and felt that this setup was a little different. Oftentimes I have a secondary goal of trying to keep my decks at an affordable budget for their respective formats. This particular deck I want to keep below the $100 mark.

I hope you like the idea. Any comments, questions and/or suggestions are always welcome, as well as any +1's you want to give. Thanks for taking the time and DFTBA.

Just started playing this deck on MTGO again and man I forgot how much I love it, though like many of my decks, it's another you shouldn't play against friends you plan to keep XD
