Monastery Siege is worse in some respects, because it does not provide any card advantage, you merely break even. Just something to consider. :)

Not an expert in the archetype, but I'd like to suggest Isochron Scepter as an addition to your deck. It seems pretty strong as it can control your opponent if you attach a fog effect to it, and would help in the midrange matchups.

@ContourReverend I have considered the scepter as another user suggested it before the update, though I had thought more about imprinting counters, such as Deprive but the idea of imprinting fog effects is an interesting one. Thank you for the suggestion.

@Kjartan The impersonator is mainly there to copy pesky planeswalkers, though I have used it to make additional Howling Mines, Temple Bells, and occasionally Jace, Memory Adept if I want to abuse the free mill 10 ability. the fact that it is a four drop is nice as well.
