NeonEndymion I like it a lot, seems like the best of both worlds. The only suggestion I would give is to make space for Teferi's Protection...that card is crazy good and I often win because of that card.

Good catch; he's going to try that over Exsanguinate, especially since part of the charm here are the unique win-cons when you draw your deck. Time Spiral already gives some backup protection if they hit the yard, and you already have either Nixilis or Ugin as finishers. (Advantage to Nixilis if an opponent has hexproof.) Thanks!

Hey is there a particular reason you play Basalt over Grim Monolith or do you just not have it?

May 8, 2018 7:18 p.m.

Enral says... #4

HighOnBuffs I honestly have no reason why it isn't in the deck tbh, I will have to find the space to put it in.

Yeah for sure also if you add Grim Monolith i feel like Power Artifact is just a must as maybe Academy Ruins to have a way of bringing them back if needed!

Would be interesting to see what you would take out as i feel like having more than one infinite mana combo might be integral to the deck sometimes.

Also thanks for keeping the deck updated its my favorite EDH deck of all time!

HighOnBuffs Okay...I've cut Kiora for Grim Monolith. The thing about the infinite mana combo is that if I don't have a relevant outlet (i.e. SDT) it paints a huge target on my board. Power artifact sounds great in paper, but I feel like it can be a dead draw as it only synergizes with 2 cards in the deck. Let me know if you had any success with it.

HighOnBuffs says... #7

Oh yeah i added Staff of Domination as an additional outlet to draw my deck etc.

In a pinch, Power Artifact can also discount your Proteus Staff and Chain Veil, even if you're not running Staff of Domination. Not ideal, but also not entirely a dead draw, especially if it means that any 2-mana mana rock then combos with Tezzeret the Seeker and Chain Veil.

NeonEndymion: Good point about power artifact, sounds like it could be something I could test out in a more high powered meta.

Yo what do you guys think about Mox Opal (and maybe Diamond) not worth because not enough low CMC artifacts?

May 10, 2018 7:06 p.m.

Enral says... #11

HighOnBuffs: I've actually tested Mox Opal and it often got stuck not producing anything till it's no longer relevant anymore. I feel like it is only worth running if I run over 30 artifacts.

Makes a lot of sense. Nice to know that you tested it!

Hi what are your thought on Heart of Kiran?

It doesnt count as a creature for PS, so i feel like it could be a very nice blocker for only 2 CMC

May 15, 2018 7:17 p.m.

Enral says... #14

HighOnBuffs I don't like that card tbh..it is conditional on having creatures on board and doesn't do much by itself.

May 16, 2018 11:22 a.m.

NeonEndymion says... #15

It's very low-impact, but it can be crewed via removing 1 loyalty counter from your own planeswalker, on any turn, and does survive your own board wipes.

NeonEndymion Interesting point actually, I totally missed the part where you can activate its ability anytime...sounds like a decent card to test out. HighOnBuffs: I take my previous comment back, this might be worth testing out.

It does some pretty nasty things with Nu-Karn, too, making the token-generation mode just a smidge bit better.

NeonEndymion What do you suggest I cut from the current list? I have Lightning Greaves in mind...but it does gives Atraxa that protection from targeted removals.

May 16, 2018 4:20 p.m.

NeonEndymion says... #19

For testing, maybe shave Grim Monolith for now, since unless you're running it with Power Artifact, it's just quick, one-use, clunky ramp?

May 16, 2018 4:46 p.m.

Enral says... #20

Good idea, I shall do that.

May 16, 2018 5:02 p.m.

HighOnBuffs says... #21

Btw what do you think about Umezawas Jitte? Would it be decent with proliferate and all the tokens we produce or is lightning graves just better?

May 19, 2018 2:47 p.m.

Enral says... #22

HighOnBuffs: It used to be in the list till I replaced it with lightning greaves. The reason Jitte was cut is because it is slow even with Atraxa and often gets removed before I get to do anything with it. Protection for Atraxa is more important.

Alright everyone, this card Arena Rector intrigues me. The temptation to test this creature out is great but it is a nonbo with the direction of this deck. I would also need to run a sac outlet to make this of any use. Any inputs would help greatly!
