TofuFriedRice: I take out 2 Dauntless Onslaught , I bring in the reckoner for aggro matchups, and Dauntless Onslaught is just a little too slow.

How about Gods Willing instead of Dauntless Assault? It's cheap at 1 cost, can Scry, and also lets you easily swing through with a creature.

Love the deck! Play tested it and decided to take it to FNM as I was on a budget this week. Came up with a few changes of my own preferences for the current meta at my local store. Boros wanna be a hero If you want to check it out. Great deck though. +1

Man, you came to my deck and left a link to your deck. Now I want to play this deck over mine because I was looking for a way to make it a two color deck and I believe you've found the best way to combo a two colored heroic deck. So thank you.
September 28, 2013 10:27 a.m.
Also, don't you think you should throw in Lightning Strike or Shock to help get over their creatures?
September 28, 2013 10:29 a.m.
Since I will probably be running this deck and you've created it I want to bother you with ideas lol. Have you considered Mindsparker in side board for when you're playing a heavy control blue/white deck?

I have the Magma Jet to kill their early creatures and the Chained to the Rocks against bigger threats. Do you think that it's not enough? What would you suggest taking out for more burn?

Also, I really feel like maybe 2x Dragon Mantle needs to work its way in here somehow. I mean 1 to cast to draw a card plus its normal ability and triggers hero? Thats pretty amazing. Maybe that instead of favored hoplite?

suicidelg: I actually did consider Mindsparker , and I really only have Gods Willing in the sideboard against control, but the 4 mainboarded Boros Charm are great against Supreme Verdict I suppose if I would put it in the sideboard I would take out Boros Reckoner or a Rest in Peace . Also, don't feel bad about "bothering me with ideas"; it really is a huge help :)
September 28, 2013 11:48 a.m.
No I think you're right about not adding the lightning strikes or shock's magma jet can handle anything small and chained can handle the bigger guys.
September 28, 2013 11:50 a.m.
IMO if you're not putting in Gods Willing main board you might as well leave it out and change it to 2x Mindsparker s. Boros Charm will save you against control and destruction. I would leave in Boros Reckoner for vs aggro and leave in Rest in Peace for vs scavenging etc.. That way you have your bases somewhat covered for agg/control/scavenge.

Or you could leave in Gods Willing and take out 1x Wear / Tear and 1x Rest in Peace or 1x Mizzium Mortars .

The Gods Willing has been very helpful against targeted removal, and i'm pretty comfortable with the sideboard for now, especially the Mizzium Mortars , which is this decks only answer to Stormbreath Dragon . But if esper control starts to become more popular, I might add Mindsparker

Fair enough, being that I haven't actually used this deck i'll trust your judgement. But what about Dragon Mantle ? I mean practically a free draw.

A few other people have suggested it as well. I just don't know if it's really all that powerful. There isn't a ton of red in the deck, and so it would be a mediocre mana sink at best. The draw is nice, but I think that the dual nature of the target spells is better. If you want to add it to your deck, I would recommend taking out Dauntless Onslaught , I'm just not sure about adding it to this deck.

This is a great deck and I'm really looking forward to building one very similar, but I'm having trouble getting all the cards. After buying 2 fatpacks, I have no Anax and Cymede , Chained to the Rocks , Sacred Foundry , etc. Do you have suggestions for a similar deck but a little more budget?
September 28, 2013 9:44 p.m.
Anax is only a dollar, and chained to the rocks is only like 3 dollars. so the deck is pretty budget besides the land. if you feel confident in doing normal land then build it. :)
September 28, 2013 10:26 p.m.
Jason, just buy them as singles from a LGS or online, it won't cost that much.

Jasonhaynes410: Without the sideboard and the duals, this deck is only around $30. I suppose if you wanted to make it really budget you could take out Chained to the Rocks for Lightning Strike and Anax and Cymede for Wingsteed Rider or something.

This card seems like it would fit really well in this deck. Not only will it suffice as removal, but it gives you not 1, not 2, but three ways to trigger heroic, or a combination of the two.
September 29, 2013 7:02 p.m.
Hi guys! What do you think about put some Pollen Remedy or Remedy and x2 Slayers' Stronghold which proc heroisme?
September 30, 2013 12:24 p.m.
Sixelaura, those are not Standard cards.. meaning they are illegal in Standard. If cards from outside Standard were to be included, the one might as well change the whole deck, as you now have thousands of more cards available to use.
Standard is currently the Return to Ravnica block, M14 Core set and Theros.

So I just tested this deck against my friends B/B/W control deck and It meshed together pretty well but I kept getting land screwed at 20 lands... So I'm thinking about bumping it up to 22 but I'm not sure what to take out.

Have you thought about running Flames of the Firebrand ? Hero trigger two creatures and kill their Lifebane Zombie . Maybe make a few instants 3 ofs and add this one in to test? Also +1
