Sadly this deck has no answers to AEtherling . (But neither do most decks) The Boros Charm protects against Supreme Verdict , and you can sideboard in Gods Willing for targeted removal. I don't really know why you would be having land trouble, usually this deck is fine. Maybe you just got unlucky?

Thanks Runi !I have a question about heroic : if we cast a spell that target Akroan Crusader and Anax and Cymede , does the token get +1/+1 and trample from Anax and Cymede ?
October 1, 2013 7:45 a.m.
Most likely yes, you decide on which trigger will resolve first. So you may want Akroan Crusader heroic to be first and then Anax heroic.

Yea i'm not sure... I'll play around with it. but about half the games I either drew no mana at all or no mountain or plain the whole game when i needed one.

suicidelg did you run the dual lands or just straight plains/mountains?
October 1, 2013 10:30 a.m.
Sixelaura, as DannyG said, it is up to how your order the triggers. You want the Anax to trigger first, and then the Akroan, the stack resolves in the order of the latest spells or triggers first, so the token will get created first, and then all the creatures will get +1/+1. The latest thing gets to the top, so to say.

I used both dual lands the first game. Then I kept getting screwed over when I needed to use the scry land right away and couldn't. So I tried taking it out and usind 2/2 white red land. I'm going to go back to using them though.

Yeah, the scry lands aren't ideal for an aggro deck, but I needed the fixing and theyre better than gates.

Definitely a +1, I run pretty much the same deck at my local FNM: minus one Anax and Cymede and add in an Elspeth, Sun's Champion as another win condition. I'm still toying with the idea of taking out Elspeth and just adding another Anax and Cymede like you have, but I'll have to test it both ways. Anyways, excellent deck, very tight and well put together. My deck is here Heroes of Anax and Cymede if you would like to look/ make suggestions.

Just played this deck twice. Lots of fun, lots of math, and make sure you have lots of Coutners/Tokens!

I've been play testing this deck for about a week now cause I'm using it's idea to make my own deck. In my testing I found that taking out one Boros Charm for one extra Mountain will do wonders for the mana fixing. It's easy to get a better hand after mull-ing for too much land than it is after mull-ing for not enough land. I kept getting mana-screwed with 20 lands.
Also, having one more Mountain that you can pin Chained to the Rocks to helps as well.

Thanks Phat_Shadow! I did notice that I wasnt always getting enough land, but I'm not sure I'd cut a Boros Charm . I really love that card. I think i'm gonna take out Dauntless Onslaught .

Really love this deck. I am running one based on it by with 2 Spear of Heliod . Every time it comes out the game is one, especially if Young Pyromancer is producing tokens.
I would love to see a break down of your sideboarding against different decks. What do you sideboard out? And for which cards?

Thats a good idea inmused. I'll put that in the description

Thanks for the sideboard info infinitemana. Very useful.

Just playtested this, very solid aggro build- and creative, too.
My biggest suggestion is to drop Dauntless Onslaught . It tops your curve, and frequently was almost uncastable with your low land count.
I would also try Gods Willing . Early removal against your heroes left you pretty defenseless, and it would also trigger Heroic and Scry a little. Definitely worth it IMO.
Boardwipes were your bane. Boros Charm wasn't always there, and you would get stopped dead for upwards of 3 turns when I dropped one.
Overall I really like your deck, nice job! We both won one of the matches.

Thanks Jp3ngu1nb0y! Dauntless Onslaught is pretty clunky, but it is also pretty powerful at times. It gets boarded out a lot (for Gods Willing which is in my sb) so Im okay with keeping it in there, but it is definitely something to think about. As for boardwipe, what should I do?? Rootborn Defenses ?
October 3, 2013 5:46 p.m.
I think since you already have the charm you basically just have to be able to power through. After the first match I knew how to pilot yours better and not over extend, so that helped some.

yeah, just leave some mana up and hope for the best

What do you think about Titan's Strength over Dauntless Onslaught ? I'm going to be running this tonight at my FNM and probably use it at SCG Milwaukee next weekend.

suicidelg: I'll consider it. But if I decided not to run Dauntless Onslaught
, I'd probably go with Gods Willing
.
Also, I'd love to hear how you do at FNM and in Milwaukee! Tell me how it does, and the weak cards/great cards.
October 4, 2013 6:26 p.m.
Oh boy well I went 3-1 at FNM tonight. Hard to say what place since there was only 12 people and 1 4-0 with 3 other 3-1's lol. I would say Dauntless Onslaught was probably the weakest. Also, siding in Boros Reckoner won me a game. Aside from that, I had 2-3 games where I ended up with multiple Anax and Cymede in my hand throughout the game, which was ok I suppose. As to everything else it all synergized extremely well together. Everything in the side deck saw play except Rest in Peace . But the 4-0 player said it would've worked well against her deck. TBH I don't know what she was running.

His wins were mainly due to AEtherling . I was almost able to completely stop or recover from his Supreme Verdict and Oblivion Ring .
