You should add 2 Hypersonic Dragon He has haste, is a 4/4 flier that can help you deal with other fliers, and he makes all of your win-con sorceries instants.

Sorry been awhile and was kind of waiting on M14 before I figured out the future direction of the deck. I think I shored up the ramp a bit, and I'll try Hypersonic Dragon as it's an extra flyer, and a big one if it gets Master Biomancer s counters.

It doesn't even seem like the most viable build, but I love the shit out of this. +1

Thanks! I'm not really sure what the meta's going to look like after Theros is released, but it's a ton of fun to play if it sticks around until later turns. If aggro runs out of steam it has a chance to hold on for the win, and the looks this deck will get from a control player are worth it. I guess Jund players won't care. They'll just Rakdos's Return me and walk away. :(
Even if it's not the most effective build for competitive play, the kitchen table shenanigans will leave your friends scratching their heads.

Every time I come back and look at this build, I love it more.

Thanks Cadmeus! I feel like I've found the perfect balance of jank, jank, and more jank going on here. Unfortunately there's plenty of ways to stomp all over this deck in one on one. But since I spend about 90% of my playing time in casual multiplayer games, I'll probably keep this together awhile just for the fun factor.

i would highly reccommend removing your Elvish Mystic s for Arbor Elf s just for the dual land untap so you can use stomping grounds for red or green with arbor elf, not just a green mana which I seem to get screwed on late game (not having other mana or a chromatic)
might I also suggest using a few Armed / Dangerous as you force them to block, let's say either a really beefy card (spinewurm) or a crap mana dork and let another creature like spinewurm or mizzet hit for double strike to the face....
last suggestions include:-two guttersnipe in teh sideboard for when you use more instants and sorceries
-where is the Kalonian Hydra ?
-Realmwright + Arbor Elf = nice early game combo (is slow tho)
-and do you bring any clothes to clean up the blood you cause?

oh, forgot to suggest Skylasher for sideboard versus blue spells..a WONDERFULL spot removal against raptors and beefy fliers (that you have in your deck)

Arbor Elf 's not in as it's specifically for post rotation. I had Skylasher in here and opted it out for Hypersonic Dragon . I'm still unsure on the Hydra as it's a badass card and has no drawback with Unexpected Results , but I don't think I'd go with the double strike ideas. They'd make for a nice finisher, but some cards here can end the game themselves. Instead the theme seems to have gone in a janky midrange control direction, which is all in all more unpredictable and fun.

So I just bought all the cards in this deck because I love the creativity / awesomeness in-which this deck is!
I am confused by two things? I am just getting back into the game so it can be me.AEtherling +Gruul Ragebeast = Board wipe?I am just not understanding how this = board wipe can you please explain this to me?
AEtherling + Master Biomancer = Ever growing unblockable dodgy creature? Yes please!
I love this idea but I just want to make sure that it works because I thought because of the following this didn't happen?
I thought Counters got removed from an creature when exiled? 121.2. Counters on an object are not retained if that object moves from one zone to another. The counters are not "removed"; they simply cease to exist. See rule 400.7."400.7 An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence. There are seven exceptions to this rule:400.7a Effects from spells, activated abilities, and triggered abilities that change the characteristics of a permanent spell on the stack continue to apply to the permanent that spell becomes.400.7b Prevention effects that apply to damage from a permanent spell on the stack continue to apply to damage from the permanent that spell becomes.400.7c If an ability of a permanent requires information about choices made as that permanent was cast as a spell, including what mana was spent to cast that spell, it uses information about the spell that became that permanent as it resolved.400.7d Abilities that trigger when an object moves from one zone to another (for example, "When Rancor is put into a graveyard from the battlefield") can find the new object that it became in the zone it moved to when the ability triggered, if that zone is a public zone.400.7e Abilities of Auras that trigger when the enchanted permanent leaves the battlefield can find the new object that Aura became in its owners graveyard if it was put into that graveyard at the same time the enchanted permanent left the battlefield. It can also find the new object that Aura became in its owners graveyard as a result of being put there as a state-based action for not being attached to a permanent. (See rule 704.5n.)400.7f If an effect grants a nonland card an ability that allows it to be cast, that ability will continue to apply to the new object that card became after it moved to the stack as a result of being cast this way.400.7g A resolving spell or activated ability can perform actions on an object that moved from one zone to another while that spell was being cast or that ability was being activated, if that object moved to a public zone."

Thanks! I'm actually still trying to get all the cards myself, I'm running a few fake copies in place of some at the moment.
In regards to your other questions, both Gruul Ragebeast and Master Biomancer 's abilities effect creatures entering the battlefield under my control. The former stating that when it or another creature enters the battlefield under your control, that creature fights target creature an opponent controls. So while it's not an instantaneous board sweep, with Gruul Ragebeast on the battlefield I can pay U to exile AEtherling during my turn. At the beginning of the end step, it will return to the battlefield and fight an opponent's creature. I can do this again during their turn as well, and keep repeating this cycle.
Master Biomancer states "Each other creature you control enters the battlefield with a number of additional +1/+1 counters on it equal to Master Biomancer's power...". This means that if I have an AEtherling and a Master Biomancer on the battlefield, I can exile AEtherling and at the beginning of the end step it will reenter the battlefield, this time with two +1/+1 counters on it. If I play a 2nd Master Biomancer , I can do this again and have AEtherling return to the battlefield with six +1/+1 counters. All the way up to 30 counters if I have 4 Master Biomancer in play!

That name alone... take all the upvotes! Sweet deck too btw

It almost seems to me that there is a backwards synergy in this deck. The cards don't directly benefit one another per say. They just do STUPID (in a good way of course) things together that I'll bet most people wouldn't attempt. I believe that, while a strange concept, there is definite merit to this deck. Kudos to you sir
August 15, 2013 7:53 p.m.
Thanks! I guess that really does kind of sum up the whole idea. Ass backwards plays utilizing some better cards and some cards nobody would consider using to mesh together in oddly perfect harmony. The kind of plays that make your friends say "What the hell are you...oh damn!"
August 17, 2013 1:45 a.m.
I'd love to try out that or Possibility Storm , but RUG seems to be missing a definitive cheap red board wipe like Slagstorm or Firespout to work with. If I had something like that and Farseek to use in post rotation I'd be all about running more fatties and an oddball red enchantment.

Savage Summoning in sideboard against control matchups, it definitely help. Kudos on the awesome deck, +1 from me!

This deck rocks...I'ver used it on MTGO and I am taking out everything...aggro, control, combo...doesn't matter.I would make one suggestion...Switch some of the Elvish Mystic or the Manaweft Sliver with Gyre Sage ...it just works better given you have the Master Biomancer .
Anyway, very powerful deck +1
September 2, 2013 5:33 p.m.
Thanks! I had some issues before with evolving Gyre Sage until T4 or T5, which made it only useful as a chump blocker until then. I am liking the newly spoiled Sylvan Caryatid though. 0/3 body with hexproof and taps for any color at the cost of 1G. Then maybe I can throw 2 Sages back in knowing one of my other mana dorks will evolve them. :)
September 3, 2013 3:54 p.m.
Yes...that's it.
Some combination of Sylvan Caryatid (when released) and Gyre Sage
instead of Manaweft Sliver
and Elvish Mystic
would be ideal.
Again, this deck is so well balanced.I've played 100+ times against multiple types of decks...all good players mind you...and this deck is winning 90% of the time.
I had to make a couple of tweaks but that was merely preference...the deck you currently have listed is solid. However, I'd be happy to comment on those changes if you care to know...they were quite helpful. Again, it's your deck...you created it and you deserve the credit.

I've considered running both, though I'm not 100% positive which direction I want to go in at this point. If U/R had something along the lines of a definitive board sweep at reasonable cost, I'd probably go to more of a RUG Control build.
