This is a deck that aims at destroying what the opponent has in the field and have a better position t the moment and for the future turns by doing so.

First, there's Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, Hero's Downfall and Damnation to take care of creatures and Rain of Tears and Fulminator Mage for the lands. There's no real early game damage on this deck, so creature destruction spells are protective here and Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek can remove some of those threats early on. Any discarded/destroyed card can then be removed from the game with the other 3 of the deck using Surgical Extraction and Extirpate: no land combos, no more of that specific creature, no more of that spell, whatever it is that could be dangerous. In case an important card of opponent's deck desn't show up to be destroyed/discarded, Sadistic Sacrament can get it from the library - with the note that it can target lands. Vampire Nighthawk's deathtouch can also take care of more creatures or gain some life to cover for life costs of other spells and Hypnotic Specter sends some valuable cards to the graveyard.Night's Whisper is there to make sure the player gets the cards he needs, just like Diabolic Tutor. To win, Grave Titan or Griselbrand to do some big damage.

Sideboard splashes white for other permanent removals.
