Here's looking at you Travis Woo! After brewing up this deck, I read Travis Woo's article on his 45 land modern deck in which he stated that Shelldock Isle was, AND I QUOTE, "useless". Here's the part where I prove you wrong Travis!

First off, this deck can cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn by turn 3 with the right hand. It's a combo deck that abuses an interaction between Shadowborn Apostle and Surgical Extraction to exile most of your deck and turn on Shelldock Isle within the first few turns so you can cheat broken things like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Omniscience into play. Best case scenario, you hideaway Omniscience then cheat it out with any number of other "big impact" spells in hand. If you manage to get an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn out, you win. Using a land to cheat them into play makes it harder for your opponent to interact and shut down your combo, so this deck can be a ton of fun to play! Sometimes you'll even be able to use the Shadowborn Apostles to cheat Griselbrand into play. I am currently in need of suggestions for other "Big Broken Spells" to hideaway with Shelldock Isle, so suggestions there would be greatly appreciated!

Match 1 was against Tarmo-Twin, won game 1 with a picture-perfect turn 3 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, lost games 2 and 3 due to bad judgement. I had Omniscience on hideaway with a Cruel Ultimatum and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in hand, and didn't play the Omniscience because I anticipated a Remand that wasn't there. Match 2 was against Scapeshift-Combo, won game 1 with a turn 4 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, game 2 Emrakul came out again on turn 3. Match 3 was against WR Kikki-Jikki combo, Won game 1 by cheating out Griselbrand on turn 4 using Shadowborn Apostles ability, then drew until I hit a Surgical Extraction, removed the rest of the Apostles, then played Omniscience with Shelldock Isle and cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for the win. Lost games 2 and 3 to an on curve Blood Moon both games.
