btw, your deck hubs are selesnya, not azorius. with a cmc of 2.97, it should be midrange since you're using cards like avacyn's pilgrim and farseek...

Ran this almost exactly (just a three card change) and went 3-1 at FNM last night. Boss deck, man!

Lol thanks, and i used to rock her but my 5 drops are already convoluted so i chose the silver heart over her because he makes everything else beast even if I'm in top deck mode and hit a pilgrim

love the deck. Powerhouse in green and white. I know enchantments are super good right now but have you considered playing with Unflinching Courage ? If you get one attack out of it before your creature gets destroyed you are looking at 5-24 points of life gain depending on double strike or not. This on a resto angel is enough at a 10 point life swing to out race most others.

unflinching courage on voice of resurgence token equals super awesome.

a 6/6 elephant trample lifelink hitting on turn 3 looks nasty too.

I have played with it and love it my only problem is how cluttered my 3 drop cmc is. It is kind of the sweet spot in my deck but rancor allows me to cast a creature as well as a trample effect in the turn 3 or 4 scenario depending on how i ramp. Rancor allows versatility where unflinching courage could leave me hopelessly tapped out if they respond by killing my creature.

I have been trying to figure out how to include that in my deck without disrupting it too much. Any thoughts?

Uh, wow. I just updated my own standard deck to look a lot like yours, before ever seeing this. Here, take a look: Return to Selesnya

I need some suggestions, as I haven't playtested with it at all; in fact, I don't even own the Voice of Resurgence s yet, I'll either trade for them or outright buy them. If you could look in and give me some ideas, that'd be great!

Lol yea your deck is very similar. So some of the things i would stress you think about since i have a lot of experience with this deck:

Farseek is your best friend. Getting stuck on 2 land will kill you and not only will farseek help with that but hitting a white source and/or your second white for silverblade Paladin can make or break you as well.

I want to run 4x Rancor and Selesnya Charm as well but not having a creature to target with either will make it frustrating. I have had 3rancors in hand with a wiped board and not being able to top deck what i need.

Sideboarding Thalia hurts you too.

oh I got it what you could run. Pit Fight has alot of interactions and great with voice of resurgence. Your big guys can out pace many other creatures in a fight. And using it to get a voice token seems like a good removal card for this deck.

my recommendation is Thalia, Guardian of Thraben she counters aggro decks quite nicely and pushes control decks back another turn.

"Match 5: opponent playing w/u control. 2-0. One game he got land screwed and the second game; turn 1 land+Avacyn's Pilgrim go! - turn 2 I played Silverblade Paladin and land and passed - turn 3 land+Sublime Archangel paired with Silverblade Paladin and swung for 4/4 doublestrike no blocks"

If You had Avacyn's Pilgrim , Sublime Archangel and paired Silverblade Paladin , Isn't that attacking paladin 5/5 doublestrike, (not 4/4, because all of them has exalted) or am I wrong?

opadei says... #14

You probably forgot, that Sublime Archangel has also "exalted", not just "other creatures you contron have exalted." So, when you got 2nd Sublime Archangel and Rancor , attacking paired Archangel should have been 14/11 doublestrike :)

Pit Fight is amazing for removal and when I was thinking about opponents running walls I thought it would be nice to be able to enter my attack step with the Bow of Nylea out and before passing priority I could fight at instant speed and death touch something to get it out of the way

Hey don't forget about Domri Rade he costs one more, but can work really well with Unflinching Courage .

I agree however I am not going to splash red for him, that drops the overall consistency of my deck, pit fight is instant and hybrid color
