to crank creatures out if he doesnt have pyromancer.
might i suggest Mutagenic Growth It's a green spell, but it only costs you 2 life... so techinically freebie

@Xenoither
As you know, sometimes pulling off the best scenario can be tricky. Young Pyromancer takes advantage of my instant and sorcery spells to pump out tokens during longer games. The combination of spells I cast on Delver or Fiend can also be used on one of these unsuspected 1/1 tokens. One of these tokens can cause as much as 14 damage with at lease two +3 power instants and double strike. I made this deck so any creature can be a threat if unchallenged or unblocked. But if you feel this is waste on this deck, I will gladly hear you out. Thanks for asking btw.
@iSnack0nEmoKidz
I've also considered Mutagenic Growth . You are right to suggest that card. Two life to pump a creature up +2/+2 is reasonable but I am trying to maintain a ratio between creature and non-creature spells. Maybe as play this deck more and Mutagenic Growth appear more desirable during battle, I'll add it in. Thanks for the input.

@iSnack0nEmoKidz What do you mean, "if he doesn't have pyromancer"? That doesn't make any sense to me. However, Mutagenic Growth does sound good but I still don't understand the slot for Young Pyromancer . It slows down his play and if he's playing that then he's already lost.
August 3, 2014 9:27 p.m.
I would cut 4 Satyr Hoplite for 4 Gitaxian Probe . It's free pumps for Kiln Fiend , draws you into the cards you actually want, free elementals from Young Pyromancer , gets you closer to a 50% flip rate with Delver of Secrets Flip and you can preview if you're going to get blown out by a removal spell or not.

@Slycne
Just like Mutagenic Growth , Gitaxian Probe does give me a freebie to pump up Kiln Fiend or to trigger Young Pyromancer 's token ability, This, however, will cause me to have more instant/sorcery spells than creature spells. I am trying to maintain a balanced ratio between creature and non-creature spells. An opening hand with lots of spells and no creatures will slow me down.
I have yet to discuss the reasons why I added Satyr Hoplite . Let's talk about the pros and cons. In T1, Satyr can enter the battlefield. In T2, I can pump him up with Brute Force or Titan's Strength and cast Assault Strobe for double strike. Satyr's heroic ability triggers twice giving it two +1/+1 counters. When I swing, I deal my opponent 12 damage. And that's only on T2. Funny, he actually does the same amount of damage as a transformed Delver on T2 with the same buffs. During T3, I can repeat the process and spice it up with Artful Dodge to make it unblockable. Good game no rematch lol. The cons are few: 1/1, no haste, no evasion, and can be easily killed.
Though, that's a weakness most my creatures share. I added Dispel and Apostle's Blessing to my sideboard do deal against removal/counter spells.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Might as well be using Scalding Tarn , too. It would only help.

@zandi
Believe me when I say I wish I could lol... A set of those cards is almost double the cost of this deck. If the stars align someday right into my pocket, I will get me a set. Trust. :)

@avrgeboy123
Distortion Strike looks promising. But the benefit of having Artful Dodge is I can cast it twice during the same turn. My Kiln Fiend may benefit from casting Artful twice to win the game. Or let say my opponent counters Artful, I can easily cast it again. Also consider this, if I have multiple creatures (like two Kiln Fiends), then each will gain unblockability and may be the extra winning factor I needed. But you know what, I'll test it out. All add it to my maybeboard. Thanks for the suggestion.

I know it's not the cheapest card to get your hand's on, but since Scalding Tarn was suggested, it's fair to at least suggest Snapcaster Mage for this deck as well. He fits right in to your instant and sorcery dependence without upsetting your creature balance. Plus it's nice to surprise your opponent on their turn with at least one extra blocker and being able to pump Kiln Fiend with flashback.

I like the idea of your deck being a blitz but Young Pyromancer has no need to be in this deck and should be used to complete your set of Lightning Bolt i would say also your heavily relying on not being countered by removal decks such as red and black. (Blue, white, and green removal would be too slow for this decks ideal win) so what do you do agaisnt red deck wins or rakdos burn? You need some spells that fight off the opponents counters such as Spell Pierce or Spell Snare ( both really f up red and black decks. snare gets 70% of net decks). This deck is definitly getting to where it needs to be but your lacking resiliance to bounce back from a counter spell or a form of removal.
As NimRod_25 already mentioned our decks are there for you to take a look at and get ideas from. Sorry if i seemed rude pointing out how this deck can be a glass cannon. Im trying to simply show the weak points so that your deck can cover them ( easily done with blue's arsenal of counters since they still trigger delver and kiln) i wish you luck with your build and please feel free to comment on my deck as i try to constantly mend it and make it better

Thank you so much for your feedback. You are the reasons why I post my decks on TappedOut.com. This community is honest and helpful.
@NimRod_25
Thanks. I have taken a look at your deck. It is very similar to a buddy of mine but he runs a set of Delvers. Have you consider running them? They are offensively and defensively wonderful. With the number of instant/sorcery spells in your deck, you are guaranteed a transformed Delver. Overall, most of your spells are too expensive for me to cast except for Gitaxian Probe or Serum Visions which are now in my maybeboard. I am trying to keep my mana curve below 3.
@Jamesfurrow
Thanks for the analysis. And no, it wasn't rude but insightful. Yes, I have been working out the kinks against removal and disruption spells. Lack of resilience is a perfect way to describe my dilemma. Cards like Spell Pierce and Spell Snare have been thought of and I've been testing them out. I've even considered Mizzium Skin in place of Apostle's Blessing to protect multiple creatures if I have to. I've added the Young Pyromancer to create blockers and pay sac cost from spells like Gatekeeper of Malakir but it may be situational and should probably go on my sideboard instead. I am trying to maintain a good ratio between creature and noncreature spells. If you know of any other spells that grant me nearly the same or better benefits in place of cards currently in my deck, please let me know.
Thanks for the post. I'll definitely spare some time to check out your decks.

TheEmgee your ratio of creatures i think is fine but i personally rather keep it low as i can for my spell count needs to be high so delver can work. Draw spells are your friend there for such a situation. I myself run Electrolyze to burn and draw which is simply a good removal card and a solid mana drop of 3. Also have you considered using Remand its a stall and draw to help your deck move while you try to keep kiln and delver moving. I hope these suggestions help you and if you have questions on my deck if you take a look please ask and ill do my best to keep your deck becoming powerful
August 7, 2014 10:27 p.m.
I'll agree with you that my deck does assist from a slightly higher mana curve, which I use Goblin Electromancer s to help deal with. A turn 2 drop off one of them allows for me to drop 2 or 3 burn spells next turn. But that's my strategy, not for everyone. I have considered Delver of Secrets Flip is just a matter of where to put them in place of my 12 creature count.
I'm going to agree with Jamesfurrow on the Young Pyromancer s simply because of your deck's speed. By the time he builds you up enough blockers and sacrificial tokens you should be blowing a hole in your opponent's face. Maybe swap them for Snapcaster Mage s?
August 7, 2014 10:35 p.m.
I took your suggestions and made some modifications. Take a look at my deck list. I sideboard Young Pyromancer for now and added a few more counters and the creature Blistercoil Weird which grants the same damage a Delver or a Satyr swinging in T2 with buffs. At the moment, I am only adding cards to this deck that I own or can afford.
@NimRod_25
I am not saying Snapcaster Mage is a bad choice and that's why I haven't added it. I am just saying I am broke lol.

looking capable of taking a licking and ticking for now. Until you can afford cash this deck will work andprobally confuse your opponents a little their sideboard will be hard pressed
