When the Khans were originally spoiled, I thought Surrak Dragonclaw
looked neat, but that I'd like him so much more if he didn't have Blue in his casting cost, since I couldn't just windmill slam him into my existing Gruul stompy stuff deck. Constructing a deck around him, well that I also didn't really want to do, because knowing me it would just be a Gruul deck splashing Blue; I'd already built 2 Gruul decks at that point and I didn't feel I could really carve out a unique enough feel for a third deck primarily in those colors.
But then one day I was flipping through my binder and I realized that, with all the cards in my existing decks I'd been replacing with foils... I could probably build a deck almost entirely from cards I'd replaced or decided not to use, and the issue of a new deck not being unique enough got neatly sidestepped by being the entire dang point. And thus this was born, a place where all the cards I happened to like but wasn't using could find a home. Whee!
It turned out that a lot of those cards I wasn't running have very entertaining synergies with each other, which makes it all the more amusing for me to pull off ridiculous shenanigans after I tell people (entirely honestly) that the deck I'm playing with is "a pile of cards I had lying around". I've also noticed that since I started playing it fairly regularly, certain cards I run that I'm kind of surprised nobody else seemed to mysteriously started showing up across the table more often, which is just bonus amusement for me; now my local meta is taking cues from my pile of cards (that I had sitting around).
Disclaimer: I may have replaced practically the entire deck with shinier/fancier versions of the same cards that were in it originally, and by "may" I of course mean definitely did exactly that, so... the "Secondhand Shop" aspect isn't quite as literal as it once was (in that the deck is no longer actually comprised of a pile of cards I just had lying around).

Updates Add
As per the deck's (sort of) theme, here are some more cards passed along from my other decks that don't use them anymore (in most cases because I replaced them with a shiny version) since the last time I posted an update:

Balefire Dragon - replaces Windreader Sphinx, which was fine, but Balefire Dragon, not really a contest there.

Master of the Wild Hunt - there's a specific scenario where having Kessig Cagebreakers in the deck instead is actually better (and I've got to live that dream, swinging in wearing Darksteel Plate and making 22 wolves was all kinds of rad), but most of the time the Master is going to be an improvement.

Various lands - Breeding Pool
, City of Brass, Copperline Gorge, Meteor Crater, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Reflecting Pool, and Stomping Ground were swapped in for various "comes in tapped" lands the list used to run, which were in the deck originally because I had them lying around and not because I actually liked them.
