Can't imagine why you would every want a sideboard only card in your main 60. And that's what Stony Silence is.

I wasn't planning on taking out anything in my mainboard for Stony Silence .

MetaphysicalxProdigy and bman5604, I was thinking of maybe adding in some more control cards like Inquisition of Kozilek or one or two Hero of Bladehold . The windbrisk heights just isn't getting its money's worth.

Windbrisk Heights will with hero. And I like the idea of more control try this list Craig wescoe bw tokens

Hmm, what would I take out though...I don't seem to use Zealous Persecution all that much from my playtesting. I would like to be able to fit in 2 Inquisition of Kozilek and 2 Hero of Bladehold . Maybe -2 Zealous Persecution -1 Auriok Champion and -1 Intangible Virtue for +2 Hero of Bladehold and +2 Inquisition of Kozilek ?

MetaphysicalxProdigy and bman5604, I'm thinking of taking out Windbrisk Heights ...After playtesting it unless I get a hero out of it it typically isn't worth it. Coming into play tapped sometimes slows me down too unless I can pull it out on turn one.

Fair enough. Just wanted to see if you had any particular advice against sacking it. I'm in the process of playtesting this against other competitive decks. I'm trying to get more of a widespread view of Modern by making some of the popular archetypes people use. I just built an affinity and now I'm thinking of making a melira pod due to its recent success in the Modern meta.

Honestly man it's looking as solid as it can. Also consider Burrenton Forge-Tender

Yeah, I can't quite think of anything else I would want to do. And I could definitely see that being useful against things like storm...I think I'll take out one Brave the Elements and one Rest in Peace for it in my sideboard. Thanks!

xzzane I wouldn't tinker with your deck too much from this point until you do some serious playtesting against other modern decks in your meta. Every deck is tailored a bit to operate effectively in its environment, including those decks in the pro tour series. Your deck looks and plays really solid as it stands right now.

MetaphysicalxProdigy, I wasn't planning on making any more changes at this point. The biggest change was taking out Windbrisk Heights , but I feel it runs smoother now without it. The only thing I may change later is my sideboard depending on my local meta.

I play tested against your deck, and Im not exactly sure how to play your deck so Affinty won. but it could have just been bad draws because tapped out does that sometimes. Its a sweet deck though! i like it

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Any chance you have Lackey or Cockatrice? I've been wanting to playtest this against other competitive decks for a while.

bman5604 and MetaphysicalxProdigy, well as of 24 hours from now I should have most of this deck. (replacing Thoughtseize with Inquisition of Kozilek and inquisition with Duress to make it more budget friendly). Thanks for all the help in getting this to where it is now.

I was thinking about it...since the tokens from the Hero aren't declared as attackers would they have met the requirements for Windbrisk Heights anyway?
I realize it's already been cut anyway, but...you know, just thinking out loud.
August 29, 2013 6:39 p.m.
Yeah, I cut it a while back. It was too slow, and the only thing worth getting out was Hero of Bladehold . As for the rules question, I believe they would still trigger Windbrisk Heights . It doesn't say declared as attackers, just that 3 creatures have to have attacked.

I think you need more intagible virtue, sorin lord of innistrad amd maybe elspeth tirel...
September 2, 2013 10:14 a.m.
Yeah, vishnarg, that was what I thought of at first as well. But a deck like this runs more on control than it does firepower. I have a mono white version of this that runs 9 anthems as opposed to the 5 seen in here. And the reason why I chose Honor of the Pure over Intangible Virtue as the 3 slot was because of my Auriok Champion s and Tidehollow Sculler s that Intangible Virtue does nothing for. In fact, if you look at the competitive deck lists of B/W tokens you'll see that rarely does any deviate from 5 anthems. Some even run 4 honors and 1 intangible, but I personally like the 3/2 balance. As for the planeswalkers they're either just too slow or another card would do their job better in the deck.

Midnight Haunting seems very mediocre. I would definitely run the fourth Spectral Procession , and you could also include a one-of such as Sorin, Lord of Innistrad . Honestly, he gives you so much value.

mstancea, I guess you're right. I just reeeeeeally don't like Ratchet Bomb or Engineered Explosives haha. And thanks for the upvote yungxak. I think in the end I will keep what I have though. The Auriok Champion s really help out a lot against Jund, and I like my Lingering Souls too much.
