Dude, I remember being proud that this thing hit like 30 upvotes haha. The amount of people that have seen this deck is a little mind boggling to me now.

well keep in mind it is not 100k unique viewers, just 100k views. but still, just the fact that a certain amount of people have to come visit this deck again and again accumulating to 100k is still ridic. lol

Quick question,I have been experiencing a lot of trouble with lands in my deck and cannot find the right amount. I currently run 23 lands and wing to know how you feel about the amount of lands the deck should run

xzzane says... #9

The amount of lands you run can vary depending on the meta. For example, if you have need of Ghost Quarters, you can either use a list with 25 land and 2 GQs, or use a 26 land list like Joshua Cho. Otherwise, 24 lands is what I've found to work best.

Yup, 24 lands with 22 sources and 14 sources to reliably hit T1 hand disruption and T3 Spectral Procession. xzzane's manabase is as close to perfect as we'll get.

3v3ryth1ng1s4w350m3, I'd encourage you to proxy xzzane's manabase. You'll notice the difference straight away.

A little expensive at 3WB, but maybe campaign of vengeance has a place somewhere in the 75? Maybe it's for a more budget, less competitive build...

The card that's interesting me is Working Together, the 3 mana escalate by tapping creatures spell. Our deck can easily get all three modes- I'm just not sure how much we even want the non-anthem modes in the first place. Just for a heavy-Eldrazi meta, or is there broader potential?

Also, Blessed Alliance seems like a better board choice than Celestial Flare, for those who play it.

I do like Blessed Alliance better than Celestial Flare, but I think there are better choices, even in budget lists for the other cards.

Sogatog, yah 'Working Together' is interesting. Not sure what I'd take out for it though.

Hey xzzane thought I should let you know I attended the Melbourne WMCQ last weekend with my list, and ended up at a respectable 4th place finish in the top 8 (2nd overall in rankings)

Heres what I am currently running

The board may seem weird at first, but my local non-FNM meta really folds to graveyard hate. And since I normally see enchantment hate in game 2 (or game 1 against Jeskai Nahiri) I went with more Rest in Peace to keep the board in my favour - and draw attention away from my main deck enchantments.

Congratulations! I think it'a rather risky running only 22 lands, but I'm glad you dod so well.

It has been more risky running Ghost Quarter than running the 22 lands in general, but my results would have been far worse if I didn't have them. Before fitting them in they were only a Fetid Heath and a 2nd Isolated Chapel which felt like the correct ones to cut down. The drop down in mana for me also allowed an improvement for my Infect match up by being able to fit in more cheap interaction/removal like the main board Zealous Persecution.

You were defs a big help a year ago when I started playing the deck and reading your feedback to others on your primer so I just wanted to say thanks for everything :D

Greetings

On card I've got from the pre-release of Eldritch Moon was Stitchers graft. I think at least a one off in the b/w token deck might be an interesting inclusion.

Most equipment until now was to expensive and meant using up all mana in a single turn just to cast and ... in the best case ... equip it. This however seems affordable and most impact-full. Since we got 'Intangible Virtue' to eliminate the draw-back.

When everything goes well we have enough tokens to chump block and still swing in for some damage. Rarely however we can actually trade favorably and trample creatures like 'Reality Smasher' or pumps still get through. With this equipment we actually have at least a 4/4 every other turn and in most cases at least 5/5 vigilance demanding removal, trading favorably,... and pushing the clock.

At least that's my thought ;) I'm curious to learn what you and fellow b/w token players think

Have a nice day Timothy

ps: since this card apparently is yet to be included on tappedout, I would replace one of my 2 Zealous Persecution in the main deck.

The thing about equipment is that it goes against the game plan of tokens. Tokens doesn't want to spend time beefing one creature, it wants to send a horde out. Beefing one token just makes it vulnerable to spot removal.
