The deck was inspired by Kiora's deck, which ran a few high but powerful CMC creatures, and using ramp spells to play them early. So yes, there is supposed to be some high cost creatures.
I tested the deck irl, proxying the cards i didn't have after the last guy's "advice" and have had little trouble casting the big stuff. I got a turn 4 Vorinclex, so I'd say that's not bad.
Axebane Guardian dies more easily than the Battlement and cost more. I also don't wanna rely on creature ramp too much. As for the Zenith suggestion I may just take them out for another Plasm Capture and Urban Evolution

Unless I miss my guess, MartialArt was saying to add Axebane Guardian AS WELL as the Overgrown Battlement not as a replacement.

@Ohthenoises: Right but what would I take out? The only thing I'd get rid of at this point are the Zeniths. Everything else has worked well for me.

Haha, Megadeth is my #1 favorite band. A good number of my decks are named after their songs. Symphony of Destruction was the best one for this beastly deck. Thanks for the +1

Okay? I'm sorry, I don't get where you are going with that

My point is that I think Harrow is a bad card if you don't have a bunch of landfall cards... Which you don't.
I'd run Farseek or Explore instead of Harrow any day. They're cheaper and give exactly the same benefit manawise. Explore even replaces itself.

I beg to differ on the matter. Instant speed ramp that lets my lands come in untapped, set myself up to chain a couple Twincast on a Harrow for massive ramp, and can help fix the mana for a Plasm Capture , as well as thin the deck out faster is not bad at all. It works well in the deck, and while it may cost one more mana, it still has a better benefit. Even if it gets countered, it'd have the same situation as if a Farseek or Explore was countered, so it's not bad in the sense that it kills my ramp more than the others.

Love it! What a fun deck...and looks like it you'll have different ways to play but equally strong each game. +1 of course.

Thanks :) I really enjoy using the deck, and it makes my friends cringe every time I pull it out :D Sometimes I can be so close to death and topdeck the card I need to combo out and win :D I've hit a Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger as early as turn 4. Very proud of this deck and its power.

As you should be :) Ramping into fatties is never a bad idea!

Indeed, and when Kiora finally got spoiled I had to add her. This deck was originally inspired by Kiora's deck in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 game. I loved the deck's idea and made it my own, and then it morphed into this after two years time.

Speaking of Kiora's 2012 deck, here's some cards from there.
And then some cards that would just mesh really well.

@WexAndywn: Coiling Oracle was in the original build, as well as Simic Sky Swallower but both were removed for either better creatures or more control. Urban Evolution was also in here but once again, taken out for better things.
While Unexpected Results is hilarious and casual worthy, I just see no room in the deck for it. The two Krakens are nice, but Lorthos, the Tidemaker does the job a lot better. While it is more vulnerable to removal, it forces the opponent to answer immediately or lose.
I appreciate the help and suggestions though :)

Shipbreaker Kraken seems like it's a little better than Lorthos, the Tidemaker to me personally. Comes out sooner, Less U invested, keeps stuff permatapped.
Only con is that it's only 4 and it's only creatures. That being said are you really concerned with tapping down someone's lands all the time?

UmbrotheUmbreon says... #21
@Ohthenoises: Lorthos can tap any permanent. I usually end up tapping a combination of creature and lands, depending which is more of a threat to me. The difference between 4 and 8 could mean the game, and while it may be cheaper and cost efficient, I prefer the ability of versatility and shutting down my opponent from playing anything that could hinder me. Plus if I have Vorinclex out I can tap down other things

you gave me an amazing idea for my Simic deck and I love your mechanic. I want to add it in my side as an alternative win with a twist. Cheers.

Thank you for the upvote and the comment. I don't have the deck anymore but it's still my pride and joy :3

The problem I see with your deck is that you have a lot of high mana cost cards and a bit of an unstable ramp base for it.
I playtested your deck against my own Eldrazi Defender and won 2 out of 3 games. And I playtested your deck goldfishing before.
Both playtest variants showed that the high mana cost are a problem in here.
I would suggest to add Axebane Guardian to make your mana boost more reliable.
And I would swap out 2 Blue Sun's Zenith for 2 more Urban Evolution since they were mostly better to have in your hands since they draw you 3 cards AND can boost your mana base.
I hope this helped.
