This deck was originally black green, and it tore up local tournament 2-0 ing people usually turn 2-4. I tried it out at the montreal CMT (team tournament), and i was my teams legacy player. In short, you need to play the color blue to play legacy competitively (unless your a rare rogue deck like mono black pox. I ran into U/W stoneblade with a splash of red for Lightning Bolt and
Fire/Ice
, and 3 U/R Delver, so i got control like mad. I remade the deck the second i got home, subbing in blue for the color black. My win percentage instantly went up
Ichorclaw Myr is alot better than i thought. I used to play Vector Asp instead, thinking his speed made him superior. What happened to me 2 times was my attacking turn 2 with vector, casting
Invigorate
followed my Berserk then my opponent flashing in Snapcaster Mage and block me. Leaving him at 9 infect, my hand empty, and my Vector Asp dead. Ichorclaw Myr get the extra plus 2 plus 2, then invigorate makes him 7/7 berserked into a 14/7 trample. GG
not much to say about Blighted Agent agent over my old 2 cost Plague Stinger, flying vs unblockable... easy upgrade
as for spells i adore
Daze
lets me tap out and be aggressive, then counter my opponents bolt or Force of Will my simply returning a
Tropical Island
to my hand
if anyone has ever played the card Brainstorm they realize how insane it is. if you have not splash blue
i recently added Spell Pierce over
Disrupt
, i found
Disrupt
was just too greedy, spell pierce stuffs the spell alot more, can screw a Jace, the Mind Sculptor which gives this deck a HARD time.
I wasnt too sure about gixatian probe at first, but it turned out to be amazing, getting to see you opponents hand to see if you can go off with ease is priceless, not to mention the additional draw. \
elected to keep Rancor because its so hard to deal with and keeps coming back to my hand, and being re equiped
sideboard is for my meta game mostly, blue everywhere and reanimator
