I have a build I took in the opposite direction. You can make soul sisters more white weenie or you can try for control type elements. I liked the addition of black myself because of lingering souls, Soulless. For yours I'd consider Survival Cache . It can push you over the edge of getting activations on your ascendant or chalice, or it just nets cards. At the least it's 4 life.

Ajani Goldmane isn't doing much in the sideboard. May want an Ethersworn Canonist for infect and storm.

Black is worth splashing for Bitterblossom and Thoughtseize. The soul sisters cancel out Bitterblossoms downside, and in multiples make it a bonus. Thoughtseize is more than offset by your life gain as well.

If you do splash black Lingering Souls is pretty good and is probably better then Spectral Procession.

I've always thought Soul Sisters was an awesome deck, and it is, especially if you play Archangel of Thune. Whether or not you choose to do this though, I think the sideboard needs to pack more answers to combo decks such as Splinter Twin - its poor matchup against combo in general - despite the Path to Exile is the primary reason that most pros have abandoned this deck.

Does this deck need to stay modern? If not Karlov of the Ghost Council is strictly better than Ajani's Pridemate. Any love for Rhox Faithmender and/or Wall of Reverence too? Or are they too mana costly?

Consider Norin the Wary, the triggers from him go BONKERS.

Also Karlov is not strictly better than Pridemate, as he is costed higher. Just my 0.02

they both cost 2 mana (albeit Karlov requires a swamp) and he gets 2 counters each time you gain life with the added ability of removal. By far better of you can splash for black.

So he is coted higher, at BW rather than 1W, which make him not "strictly better". And as you say, it requires a splash for black, which means revamping the entire manabase.

Revamping a mana Base for a considerable benefit is worth it in my opinion. The splash of black in his colour identity is certainly worth his 2 abilities which outshine the cat.

What do you think about Brimaz, King of Oreskos in this deck. He could generate tons of tokens to keep gaining you life and take some of the pressure off of your Soul Wardens and Soul's Attendents.

I'm of the opinion that any soul sisters deck NEEDS 4x Genesis Chamber. Double the number of lifegain triggers, and loads of chumps for blocking, what more could you want??

Otherwise a fairly standard decklist, defo nice and similar to what I run!

If you are going to splash red for Norin, I'd defo recommend Purphoros, God of the Forge, he just gets crazy with all the ETB triggers!
