How would you have the mana to pay for the Retraction Helix ?

I'd recommend Tormod's Crypt or Astral Cornucopia over the Purse, because those cards can actually do things outside of the combo.

Ah sorry, I did not notice the notes, you included other cards as a proxy. You should add creature removal as protection. Magmar jet is a good idea.
Add Triton Shorestalker in case you did not draw onrithopter and he has build in evasion

@IzzetGod - Ornithopter gets played on turns 1, 2 or 3. Jeskai Ascendancy gets played on turn 3. Turn 4 you have all of your mana open to use.
@erabel - You're probably right. My local play group just mentioned this combo when the purse got spoiled, but really it would work with any free non-creature spell. Will see if any of them are more relevant than the others. Tormod's Crypt is probably useful against delve decks.
@QuanSushi - Correct. I will switch them around as soon as I see them in :) Magma Jet will probably go in as a 4-of just because its cheap and you can scry away anything that isn't your combo. Triton Shorestalker is actually pretty good, will add it to the maybe board for now until the main deck becomes a bit more solid.

Yes, but you won't be able to do it infinite amount of times...

Technically, you're right. I would just have to choose some stupidly-big number and then attack.
Ornithopter keeps the ability to tap and bounce something until the end of turn. Casting the Tormod's Crypt will trigger Jeskai Ascendancy which gives the Ornithopter +1/+1 and untaps it. After it untaps, you tap to bounce the Tormod's Crypt and repeat again and again.

Ohhhh...derp lol
I was thinking you could only use the ability to bounce once...sorry about that...I was just after waking up when I saw this deck. I was just having a stupid moment lol.

Couldn't you also pump infinite mana into a Crater's Claw if you Ensoul Artifact a Darksteel Citadel ?

I guess you could, but you would still need another creature to put Retraction Helix on to in order to keep bouncing the 0-cost artifact otherwise it wouldn't work. And if you can infinitely pump something, what's the point in adding an infinite damage spell as well?

I would go with some mana ramp in Springleaf Drum so you can get the Ascendency out on turn 2. The Drum fits the theme perfectly and allows you to Turn 1 Land, Ornithopter, Drum, tap Ornithopter with Drum to cast Shorestalker. Turn two, you could potentially combo off if you had that turn 1 with a second Drum instead of Shorestalker (you'd have 4 mana available, 3 for Ascendency, 1 for Helix). Ofc that's highly unlikely, but nevertheless the Springleaf Drum is necessary to expedite the combo.

Altar of the Brood is another win-con. if they have any pesky removal then that should do the trick. and for 1 mana is easily playable :D

Thanks for the suggestions folks.
Springleaf Drum definitely seems nice, will add it in.
Altar of the Brood could work, but I feel the combo is already pretty safe. Reason being is I can draw and discard during the combo off of Jeskai Ascendancy until I reach Gods Willing . I won't self mill because the draw/discard is a "may" trigger.
Jeskai Ascendancy will be added now. Wasn't in the database when this deck was originally posted, so I had used the charm as a proxy.
