Would it be worth spalshing white for Puresteel Paladin and Stoneforge Mystic ? I hope neither of those are legacy-banned... Azorius Herald could be another possibility.

Also, why run Mental Misstep and Spell Snare ? They're very restrictive. Stoic Rebuttal might be a good option with all of the artifacts.

Like the idea, +1

Ohoh and Leonin Shikari could be helpful, especially with Puresteel Paladin

I'm really not familiar with sets so...

I never thought of using cards that interact with equipments. That is definitely better than what I have now. Thanks!

No problem :) Once you change it around, I wanna load it into Cockatrice and give it a few goes, looks like a fun deck! Well, doing an ISD draft with some friends soon so I will when I get a chance :P

Does this look good?

Like the changes, just played a game and won. I would try to keep Leonin Shikari a 4-of. He was Very helpful when it came to my opponent declaring blockers.

I would drop Mental Misstep altogether and make Leonin Shikari a 4-of. I'd also -2 Azorius Herald and -1 Kor Duelist for +3 Invisible Stalker . The unblockable part is amazing with the Swords

Azorius Herald is unblockable... Kor Duelist hits and triggers each sword twice. I will change Mental Misstep

I recommend card:Steelshaper's Gift. It would allow you to get the artifacts you want first turn.

Isn't that just part of Stoneforge Mystic 's ability? A card that only searches for an equipment and does nothing else seems a bit weak in this deck...

Ageed - card:Steelshaper's Gift does seem a little weak in this deck. Point taken with Azorius Herald and Kor Duelist .

Like the changes!

Stoneforge is a 3 cost to get it out. Turn 1 is better.

December 29, 2012 10:53 p.m.

I'm not sure where you're getting the 3 from - Stoneforge Mystic 's CMC is 2. Plus, she can put it onto the battlefield for one less than playing their casting cost the next turn.

December 29, 2012 10:58 p.m.

Sorry misread.

December 29, 2012 10:59 p.m.

Don't worry about it, we all do that!

December 29, 2012 11:01 p.m.

I just think it would help.

December 29, 2012 11:02 p.m.

You could always playtest it and see if it's useful :)

Lol. Nice little conversation you guys had. The reason why I think Stoneforge Mystic ---> card:Steelshaper's Gift is because the gift is only a one time use. Once you cast it, you'll never do anything with it again. Mystic allows me to put out an equipment for one less mana so I can also play a Kor Duelist . AND if for some reason mystic dies, I can return it with Sword of Light and Shadow

December 29, 2012 11:25 p.m.

So after playtesting the deck ran really well! Your reasoning is valid, I still don't think card:Steelshaper's Gift is necessary. One thing that caused a MAJOR problem is [blanks on card name]. It said that anytime a creature was targeted by a spell or ability (aka the activated equip ability), return it to your hand. It made the swords useless. I'm not sure if I'd mainboard something to deal with that, but it's something to think about.

Do you have an example of the card? I'm not exactly sure what you mean there.

Looks good though, +1.

I'd just like to mention that this is marked as Modern, but Stoneforge Mystic is banned in Modern. I love the idea of all the swords, though. Might I suggest Silverblade Paladin ?

Ok thanks! So legacy? I'm really not familiar with what's banned and what's not. :P don't you think there are already too many 3 drops?

January 2, 2013 12:01 p.m.

In my opinion, I'd make it a casual deck. Just make sure you and your playgroup clearly define "casual." That can easily cause arguments.

Would Silverblade Paladin 's double strike trigger the swords' abilities twice? If so, I'd definitely find a way to work it in. Not sure what I'd drop though
