Sylvan Awakening Brew!

Standard GU (Simic)

Digger63

MTGA BREW

I’m looking for feedback and to see whether or not the deck will find some viability outside of being a janky brew. Let’s get to the card choice:

Llanowar Elves- Don’t really need to say how great of a card this is. Solid one drop and mana boost.

Walking Ballista- With plenty of creatures with one toughness it is great to pick off creatures. It is a pre-sideboard answer to aggro, helps get that extra damage in for Sylvan Awakening, and helps take out otherwise unreachable creatures/Planeswalkers in a board stall.

Champion of Wits- A good turn three play, especially if Llanowar Elves was played on turn one. Was wondering if Jadelight could be better.

Multni,Yavimaya’s Avatar- Big threat and hard to remove. White has options but green has access to answers to any suspension spells. Excellent synergy with lands.

Blink of an eye- Surprisingly good and gives the deck a lot of reach. The two drop and four drop spots are a little barren, but this card fits both. Also bounces nonland permanents, not just creatures.

Spring/Mind- Quick land acceleration and draws cards later on. At three mana, works well with Llanowar Elves.

Time of Ice- versality on this card is perfect. Can be played on turn three to stabilize versus aggressive decks, and is even better versus Midrange. Not great versus control. The main reason for inclusion is the highly aggressive meta, and, because it bounces creatures back to hand, can make hazoret a challenge to cast for hasting damage.

Nissa, Steward of Elements- mills through the deck and turns lands into threats.

Hours of Promise- Ramps, provides creatures, and is an easy four of.

Commit/memory- Postpones threats and gives the deck some drawing power. Can pseudo counter uncounterable creatures such as carnage tyrant.

Tatyova,Benthic Druid- decided to include two copies for the life gain and extra draw. While it’s toughness isn’t high, it’s still a threat that must be answered.

Nissa, Vital Force- Can buy back time of ice, great against control/Midrange, and can turn lands into threats.

Sylvan Awakening- The main reason for the brew. It’s the decks primary finisher. Play lands, more lands, and even more lands. Grind out the opponent and cast Sylvans Awakening to finish them. (Hopefully)

The lands for this deck aren’t as optimal as they could be. I don’t want to use rare wildcards on lands at the moment. Also, I decided to lessen the amount of activation lands (hashep, Ipnu) for cycle as the deck doesn’t usually want to sacrifice land.
