I actually considered her, toponal but Gyre Sage pumps out mana as well, and can turn into a potential heavy hitter when she evolves.

Hey, I have a green ramp deck of my own that might help you out: Take the stairs? Nah, I'll use the ramp

I am absolutely enthralled with this deck. I hope it works out well for you against the top tier competitive decks, because this is something I'd love to see winning tournaments. +1 from me is a given.

This is a damn scary deck, +1 from me. I just did a quick playtest against my esper control deck Heisenberg, and I barely hung on to stabilize to the win through mill. Your deck has some real control killers with Garruk, Caller of Beasts and Primeval Bounty . You landed Primeval Bounty followed by Garruk, Caller of Beasts early and really filled your hand with threats and advantage, Hero's Downfall kept Garruk's damage to just the turn he landed, but Primeval Bounty was a real pain. A mid game Jace, Architect of Thought and Sphinx's Revelation drew me into three Supreme Verdict , which allowed me to stabilize initially, but you kept the pressure on. At one point you started to gas, but had three Primeval Bounty out and it was only a topdecked overloaded Cyclonic Rift that really slowed down your tempo and decisively shifted the game in my favor. I think my deck went through like 40 cards and the game went 17+ turns before it was over. This could easily have gone either way and I was lucky that Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and Jace, Memory Adept were able to throw Mistcutter Hydra to exile and the yard (I only had to deal with one and was lucky to have a Hero's Downfall for it). Anyway, I suspect that if I were to playtest again a few times that your deck would do really well. Great deck.

Thanks Apoptosis that's actually some of the best feedback I've gotten about the deck so far! I appreciate it man, I checked out your Heisenberg deck lady night, and I thought it was really good

Okay, I tried playtesting this against one of my favourite decks, Controlling the Flow of Life, and I discovered something about the nature of your mana base. If you don't get started very quickly, your entire deck is particularly susceptible to Far / Away , which can bounce the non-hexproof ones and make you sacrifice the hexproof Sylvan Caryatid . If someone manages to interrupt your creature-based mana ramp, then your deck is probably in trouble. Mind you, I fully admit my decks to be more quirks and curiosities than proper competitive decks; I just happen to think that way. I played my afore-mentioned deck against this and beat it easily in two straight games. Take that for what you think it is worth, so help me I want your deck to work well, so I might only advise that you watch out for Far / Away .

Yes, you are running risky with only 18 lands supplemented with ramp. Removal of the mana dorks = a lot of pain. In my playtests you didn't have mana issues early, but removal of the dorks (mainly by Supreme Verdict ) did limit your ability to cast fatties (somewhat).

Thanks for the input nyctophasm and Apoptosis. I'll certainly keep an eye out for board wipes and Far / Away . That's why I put in the graveyard recovery, Elixir of Immortality , Serene Remembrance , and Whip of Erebos (<--which I realize isn't as good recovery since they get exiled at the end of turn)

Monogreen with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx but with no Voyaging Satyr ? My good man, are you quite alright?

The first game I drew only two creatures (which is INCREDIBLY odd for my deck), so you managed a severe stomping session.

The second game, you had a VERY nice buildup that would do well in just about any matchup, but even your 26/26 indestructible couldn't stop my 100+ trample damage on turn 7. (2x Bioshift , 2x Corpsejack Menace , Kalonian Hydra , Nylea, God of the Hunt )

The third game I out-aggroed you and your rampers couldn't handle it. It was over turn 6.

I am going to do some minor edits on my deck, and play another few rounds against you. (I'll post results again). I'd also like to see how your matchups go against me, feel free to comment on my deck's page. Overall, I really like this deck you have. The two of ours would make a great pairing for a 2-headed giant.

7 enchantments is to many you could easily be at 60 cards.

That was my bad, added too many lands, should be 18 still.

Take out 2x Guardians of Meletis for 2x Forest , you need a lot more land.

Fal1entrixt3r says... #24

RedCloud2012 and Magiclover318 i took out both Garruk's Horde in place of two more forests. I do agree that it did need more land, but removing a three drop 0/6 that i can use for mana with Axebane Guardian made less sense than getting rid of one of my many fatties. I like the way it runs now
