Sire Of Insanity may be fun here.

The problem, as I still see it, is that Sin Prodder has no incentive for them to not just send our lands to the graveyard. I think the right shell for him may actually be some sort of Life from the Loam deck, but I may be wrong.

Hey RamblinMan. You may be right. Some people have talking about it as a curve topper in an aggro deck to land filter. Sort of like Countryside Crusher but with draw potential.

i really like the idea for the deck you have here. you seem to be a bit heavy on the 5 drops. i know you'll probably be casting drifeters for the evoke but still. you have 2 dwellers and 3 lichs. the deck feels like it has potential but it also feels like its pulled in several directions because of the combo in it, mixed with the delve, mixed with the recursion. i feel like it needs to focus a bit more.

Treacherous Urge, perhaps? It is hand destruction and a potential multi-kill spell all in one. Very useful card in my experience, even with it's rather high mana cost. Then again, I use a lot of ramp... The artwork is cool at least.

Hey aholder7. I was thinking maybe drop the havengul lich + perilous myr recursion part and swap for a bit more removal/hand disruption. Maybe a couple of Murderous Cuts and Dismembers and maybe a Tasigur.

make sure if you are going to have delve, that you have enough cards that will go to the grave. also know that each delver makes dark dwellers worse. so you have to weigh your options on that as well.

Thanks aholder7. Playing around with it. Subbed out Gurmag Angler for Vengeful Pharaoh and upped the terminates and added a few Faithless Lootings

I am in love with this, and approve.

Thanks Dorotheus. Very kind. Feel free to suggest any amendments. Currently thinking drop Muddle the Mixture as we don't have enough other 2cmc things to tutor, and it's UU. Maybe up the Sin Prodders and some Bloodhusk Ritualist's as hand nukers. Some Rubblebelt Maaka's we can bloodrush. Or maybe Browbeat for more flavour...

I was also wondering about Thought-Knot Seer via the Ghost Quarter's, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and possibly some pain lands. Maybe swiftspear for Vexing Devil as well due to the potential evoke triggers.

This is what I came up with: Heartless Grix

Hey Dorotheus dropped you some thoughts on that thread. Like a lot of your choices. I brew a lot with Heartless Summoning and one of the issues is always what happens if you don't draw it or are forced to discard it etc.

Hey Dorotheus so, did some testing.

Game 1 v Soul Sisters. Usual Soul Warden, Auriok Champion, Ajani's Pridemate. Basically struggled. Ended up with 2 sin Prodders out and 7 lands in the graveyard. Didn't get a chance to try after side boarding in pyroclasm.

Game 2 v Lantern Control. Got locked out by ensnaring bridge. And they exiled my kolaghan's command off the top of my deck. So locked. dark dwellers couldn't touch the instants that were exiled. Made me crave something like Venser, shaper savant as at one stage I had 6 creatures down but couldn't attack.

Game 3 v delver w thing in the ice. Game 1 pretty even, using terminate and dismember to remove delver of secrets, snapcasters and titi before it flipped, but never really had a dominant board position. After sideboard again struggled.

Overall landing heartless t2 was consistent. T1 play was normally iok but not always consistent.

Sin Prodder can effectively cap your lands, which at t3 isn't the worst thing. Deck probably needs more delver cards to take advantage

Keranos was good when it came online, but otherwise blue splash didn't feel justified. Between Keranos and Mogis feels like you want to sideboard in copies of one or the other.

Thought knot seer once boltable didn't particularly work.

Dark Dwellers worked consistently, but it feels like maybe we need more copies of kolaghan's for max value.

Have you thought about Breaking / Entering has cmc of 8 when checked by Sin Prodder but can still have either half cast out of the grave if you target it with Goblin Dark-Dwellers

April 15, 2016 12:20 a.m.

Draw_Wurm says... #22

Hey jchudz. Yeah I was thinking about Rise/Fall. Am I right in that dark dwellers can flash back either side of breaking/entering. Even though breaking is higher than 3cmc? My understanding is that dark dwellers treats it has either 2 or 6 and sin Prodder treats it as 8.

I don't really feel like this is a control deck. I've play tested a couple of non-boarded games vs my Nauseam ad Infinitum deck (not something you're likely to run into, with a top8 meta share of 3%, but at least something to be aware of).

The clock I had felt soo much faster than yours. Not sure if you would want to add more counterspells or not. Counterflux feels like sideboard tech at most, especially with the emphasis on . Double felt almost impossible to cast.

To give me an idea of how you play this- what sort opening hands do you look for? I found myself mulliganing a lot, trying to find Heartless (because it seems to be the crux of the deck).
