I wanted to challenge myself to build decks for as cheap as possible. I started work on 5 decks, one for each color, and made them my $5 series. When I say $5, I'm talking about the subtotal. When this was put through the optimizer, and the tcg direct package was made, many cards could only be purchased for a higher value. With shipping, this deck costing me $13.12. For perspective. The $10 Talrand, Sky Summoner deck built by the commander's quarters, run through the optimizer under the same settings (with basic lands removed of course) ran for $27.69 and $21.95 using the card kingdom link. I'm not trying to throw shade, only pointing out that by comparison, we're doing pretty well, and are more than justified in claiming the $5 price tag. As for the deck it's self. It boasts a pretty solid win rate at my lgs, which is actually one of the more competitive stores I've been to. It's been able to bust through the precons with ease, and even outpaced some very solid aggro decks like Uril, and Ur Dragon.
