When your opponents have been punishing the table all evening, it's a job for Sythis, Harvest's Hand. That's right, a Hand job, because whatever you do yourself, you do best!

This deck started out as a casual aura-themed deck based around the GW preconstructed deck from Planechase Anthology. I liked the gameplay so much that I have changed it considerably since, adding some saucy combos as well as a variety of different game plans.

Updates Add

There is a cEDH event in a few weeks and, while I'm not sure I'll be able to make it, several of my mates are going and need people to spar against. Hence these further cuts and adds in order to streamline the deck further as well as to add more interaction and stax.

OUT:

Spike Feeder - As yet I don't have a way to weaponise the infinite lifegain this card represents; it might make it back in if I ever manage to squeeze Aetherflux Reservoir in.

Calix, Destiny's Hand - not efficient enough in cEDH as it doesn't dig deep enough with its +1, and its -3 is too expensive for removal.

Nyxbloom Ancient and Mirari's Wake - both mana doubles/triplers that cost too much to be relevant in cEDH.

Resurgent Belief - too slow and unreliable... I never managed to make this card work. Replenish isn't in my collection - yet.

Helm of the Gods - the deck no longer aims to win through Voltron/commander damage, so it's gone.

Archon of Sun's Grace - generally too slow.

Winds of Rath - Even if it was the only board wipe in the deck, it's still too slow for cEDH at five mana.

Urza's Saga - even though it's a great land, with only one fetchable card left in the deck (Sol Ring) it's not good enough.

Krosan Verge - a tap land

1x Forest, 1x Plains - I realised the land count in this deck was a little much and I was flooding a lot, so these can go to make room for more goodies!

IN:

Path to Exile - crazy how this one wasn't in yet, right?

Paladin Class - an inexpensive little gem that makes it a bit harder to interact with my combos.

Devoted Druid and Swift Reconfiguration - I figured an inexpensive infinite mana combo couldn't hurt!

Ground Seal - as my deck does so little with the graveyard and others combo off it, this seems good.

Darksteel Mutation - another nobrainer I only just managed to put in.

Stony Silence - more stax.

Mana Tithe - nobody expects the unexpected!
