Azorius spell-slinger deck based solely on a commander I have never seen anyone play in the local shop. As an attempt to break my mold of primary black mana dual decks I felt the need to build him for his following traits.

Probably the only Azorius commander deck I will play because it is not as aggressive as a usual control deck. I build the deck with the intention of keeping the game in check but with political tactics. The endgame is Approach of the Second Sun as a fall back. Meanwhile using turn spells (like an Azorius Jerk) to search for the dragons and deal combat damage.

Taigam,Ojutai Master

His first ability states: "Instant, sorcery, and Dragon spells you control can’t be countered by spells or abilities." Essentially, as long as Taigam is in play, your fellow blue players cannot stop you. His Second ability states: "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your hand, if Taigam, Ojutai Master attacked this turn, that spell gains rebound." So casting multiple spells to either destroy or counter we can use it again.

Goal

The main reason why I am building this deck is because of my desire to defeat an Azami, Lady of Scrolls deck. A recent opponent that I wish to defeat. Using Omniscience and Laboratory Maniac and just about every expensive low drop counter spell you could think. Honestly in a war of attrition I highly doubt I will win in a counter spell battle, but with exile spells and ability canceling permanents I could choose to destroy his win con.
