This originally started as a soldier tribal but after more and more playtesting I found that I couldn't stay in the game long enough and went a more traditional boros theme. Taijic seems the most fun of Boros commanders with his static ability preventing noncombat damage to your other creatures. Mentor, while weak, is a fun idea and wanted to include as many mentor cards as possible. Being able to tutor out a darksteel plate onto Taijic means you can use though cheaper board wipes that deal damage instead of blank wrath effects. Even if Taijic dies a 3 cmc card is much easier to get out again with its tax! I wanted to add a fair bit of disruption with things like mindscensor and arbitor to help me slow down my opponents while I establish board dominance, making these even bigger with mentor is another win-win too. Finally I really really like isochron scepter and wanted to cram it in here somehow, I know its probably best with Feather but I still wanted to make it work here. Isochron onto an enlightened tutor can help us bring out our gods, anthems, or even valuable artifacts. Or just go with the classic Path-on-a-stick! I'd like to add more equipment but am really unsure what to trim, as you can see the maybe board is a mess of all the cards that were already removed. I'd love your input and feedback on how to make Taijic and the Boros Legion even better!
