Talrand has been one of my favorite cards in a long time and playing blue control is my favorite. with this in mind, ive decided to make a deck around talrand. the deck functionality is pretty self explanatory. get out talrand, activate you spells to control the board to make plenty of 2/2 drakes, then go in for the kill. the main deck is straight forward, you have your talrand and first turn delvers, your counter spells to negate threats, and your draw engines like think twice, ponder (for getting what you need faster and setting up for delvers transformation), and gitaxian probe.

the sidboard is something that needs to be explained. scatter arc and dispel is my control mirror or heavy spell match ups. essence scatter is good when facing creature heavy decks. annul is obviously for decks that play artifacts and enchantments. i like to use dispel for control matches because they will be playing heavy instants, so stopping those is almost a must. flashfreeze is great for playing anything with green and red. the mindstatic is a tech choice of mine. its an additional counter spell just in case i need it.
