This deck is an idea that I had as soon as I saw Talrand. The concept is simple. Use cheap counter and bounce back, in combination with ponders divinations and think twice to draw for Talrand. Your Archaemancers and Augurs will help a lot due to their summoning abilities. Delvers were a must since your chances of a 3/2 flyer second turn are all but guaranteed.

Once Talrand is out on the field. Continue to launch a counter spell and unsummon assault, all the while gaining a small drake army. At this point, a runechanter's pike will probably have 8 or 9 instants/sorceries to work with and throwing it on a drake token is a good way to end a game quickly.

Let the record show, I did draw a tiny bit of inspiration from other decks. However, mine is the only mono-blue Talrand deck that I have seen, as of yet.
