This deck has proven to be quite ridiculous. I will often end games with more than 100 life, swinging with a Pridemate that has been buffed to 40/40 or more. I'll explain some of the mechanics below. Any comments/suggestions?
Get Tamanoa out, and every card goes berserker mode.
Suddenly Battlefield Forge, Brushland, and
Karplusan Forest
are perfect dual lands, and every time you tap them,
Ajani's Pridemate
gets a counter!
Manabarbs
? No problem, I'll gain it all back and gain life when you tap, too.
Ajani's Pridemate
will enjoy it as well.
Lightmine Field does a good job deterring attackers, providing HUGE lifegain as well.
Pyrohemia provides a great deal of lifegain and counters for the Pridemate.
Naya Charm is working triple duty here, reviving a killed Tamanoa, smacking a creature for 3, or
Sleep
ing your opponent for the winning swing from your Pridemate(s).
Orim's Thunder
provides an answer for those pesky enchants and artifacts, with a violent kick.
The lightning drops are just icing on the cake.
